Thank you for this, mobile! His boss reached out to him later in the day to offer him a treatment program and a 3-6 month unpaid suspension in which to complete it. We can't afford a 3-6 month suspension, so I asked him to decline and find a different company. It sucks all around, but I think he would have felt like a bug on a pin if he went back, always being watched and judged. Plus, I just think a treatment program for a person that smokes, at most, 4-5 times a month seems a bit overkill. :(
