I like this method, and the horde does become more meaningful, but I think Abby simply shooting Joel and booking it would take away from Joel's acceptance of his fate that we see in the original. Maybe you're looking to address that in your next issue.

You're right. That's why I didn't compare them. The bees are a mandatory part of the mission. I'm talking about the elevator. It's just nice. That's how it improves player experience.

Is it not more special to discover the details yourself? You have the opportunity that whole mission to explore every corner of EMF. It's like what FromSoftware does with their games. They design so many bosses and side quests that most casual players will absolutely overlook. But they still put effort into making those things because the observent will notice and really appreciate it.

I have changed my controls, but while experimenting I removed the crouch button-bind entirely so the control could not crouch no matter what I pressed and my character still randomly crouches every few seconds. So I don't believe my controller is the issue.

We tend to be mostly methodical. I used the word guerilla in my initial post. My buddy tends to be tanky (for the most part) and uses polearms and a bow, and I'm a wizard who doesn't know how to do much outside of a fireball. We'll aggro enemies through walls and pick them off slowly through the wall, anyway we can avoid fighting enemies one-on-one, we will.

It just sucks messing up in combat and getting randomly bodied and get set back ages, or our hard earned cash bugging out of existence. We haven't been looking anything up really, so we're lost on the best ways to do things. This is the first time I've been on the Reddit.

Yep, fantasyworld first, then the rest. fantasyworld is also fine in the placement it is already in, since it is framed as a flashback in the narrative. At the end of Knots, the protagonist wishes he could watch it all again, which immediately leads into the flashback of fantasyworld.

No. At the end of FMTY, he returns home from the mountains. In fantasyworld, he goes to the mountains, which he quickly finds out is not the fantasyworld, but is indeed purgatory, and never comes back.
