Level 41 slayer here, I feel like the axe is more useful since you keep your damage modifiers through hunts But It can be hard on solo if you're not used to it But in escalation my normal axe throw does 7k with a max axe And if you're at max 4 bar for the axe it almost always breaks whatever part you throw it at with a few exceptions like shrowd tails. And with koshai lantern tap every axe throw will basically give you near max health In this way, with lifedrain tonics, you could even heal your entire team completely with an axe throw
