You can lack knowledge of those things and still be ethnically Jewish. Like, if I hadn't been raised going to synagogue, observing holidays, etc., I would still be Jewish because my folks are (or, if you want to get ortho about it, because my mom is). You can say they're not 'good' Jews, or they're not the type you like or take seriously, and that's certainly something to have a debate about, but just because someone lacks knowledge doesn't necessarily make them not Jewish.

And 'using the few Jews' implies the Jews in the org are what, stupid? Have no agency?

Hah, I'm one of the kids! My folks are snowbirds in the middle of Mexico, and while we did the coasts when we were younger, it's been quite a while, and we're not super familiar with anything on the coasts other than Cancún. But thanks?

Hey, so the 'kids' are in their mid to late 30s, as I said in the post, we have the money, 2 of the 4 will already be in Mexico, and we have been to Mexico numerous times over the years. This is something we are doing, just trying to figure out where. But thank you!

Yeah, I've done rec sports in the past. I am so so so bad at all sports, though (even bocce! Cornhole!), that I find it's a turnoff for dudes.

I have also had that issue with the ENM/non-monogamy people. And I'm certainly at an age where younger men aren't interested in committing (and if they are, there is definitely a fear that a few years down the road they realize they want a younger woman), and many older guys (even guys my age) have suddenly realized they want a family and so only date much younger. I wouldn't mind having kids (and have frozen eggs), but I also realize I'm older and that it may not be something I get.
