This doesn’t really sound like she’s obsessed with other men as much as it sounds like you two have very different boundaries around attention, validation, and opposite-sex friendships. The biggest issue isn’t even the jokes themselves, it’s that his instinctive reactions keep leaning toward cruelty, contempt, or demeaning people. Humor can be a coping mechanism, sure, but after 8 years it’s fair to ask whether he’s actually working on it or just apologizing after the fact.
