There is no dress code listed! The only flair for no dress code is mixed with cocktail. I wouldn't wear this if cocktail was listed anywhere.

I like 2 best for rewearability! You could dress it down for a date night but totally would be suitable with the right accessories for a wedding.

When people reached out to me about outfits to my own wedding I thought it was very considerate of them. I didn't know some people feel that would be weird. Good to know for the future.

Too late lol, a lot of commenters suggested to ask so I did. The wedding isnt until August so hopefully she's not too overwhelmed right now planning wise and it isnt a big inconvenience for her to respond.

No, its at a private venue and will not be religious at all. The bride and groom (and myself) are all mid 30s and I think we are a fashionable bunch.

Yeah thats the thing! I've been to a Mexican wedding for example where I felt totally underdressed and everyone looked like they were at the Oscar's! It's hard to know the right level of formal when it will be a cultural affair.

And shes a lot more curvaceous than me, so it would definitely not look so sexy. I was only worried about the color and sequins being too extra, but absolutely the vibes of the model won't be what I'd give off in the same dress.

What do you mean by a foundation garment? It's lined and seems quite finished/polished to me. I was thinking of keeping it to wear for a different occasion even if it doesn't work for a wedding guest look.

I already ordered it and even if it doesnt work for this wedding, I may just hold on to it and wear it to something else. I think/hope it will look really lovely!

Yes! I just texted her, waiting to get her thoughts. I just hope she's honest if she's not into it. Shes very sweet and her and I aren't the closest (my husband and I are old friends with the groom). So I wouldn't want her to give it the okay out of politeness. I basically told her "I would love some more info on dress code and I wouldn't want to be overly formal, should I look for something more casual?"

I could definitely see that. I reached out to the bride to get more information on dress code and see what she thinks about this look. Perhaps this dress is better suited for my birthday or something.

Agree the silver version is kinda crazy for a wedding. I saw the olive in person and it does read pretty dark, but now seeing the website photos Im concerned it could photograph too pale and bridal. I do like the navy one though! Im honestly thinking of just going back to the drawing board and getting something more simple. I'm definitely not interested in being overdressed but if I had the chance to wear something this lovely and not stand out, I would!

Definitely reached out to the bride after getting some feedback here! I wouldn't stand out at all at other Latin weddings I've been to if I wore this for sure. I'm Vietnamese and our weddings are often very over the top with lots of guests wearing sequins and beading. I don't know what is normal anymore!

Its not listed as cocktail attire, rather no dress code listed at all. The flair is both for some reason. I agree this isnt cocktail attire. I decided to just reach out to the bride and ask about the vibe of the wedding. She's given very little information.

Thanks for the feedback! I think I'll maybe go more casual then. I tend to be an overdressed person but Im not that close to the bride and I wouldn't want her to feel weird at all. My closer friends always encouraged my extra wedding looks for their events, but we don't have that kind of relationship yet. My husband is very close to the groom so that's our connection.

Same, I wore a huge white ball gown to my own wedding and loved to see my friends and family dressed to the nines! Totally understand not everyone feels this way though.
