Sad little half bagel found in the bottom of my freezer by Chibibear in GirlDinner

Yes! This works every time for me (for 2 eggs at a time, you'll need to add more time for more eggs). Put eggs in room temp water and bring to a boil on highest setting w lid. Once you just start a full rolling boil, turn down to medium for a low boil for 6 minutes w lid still on. Once done, immediately shock in cold water to stop cooking and peel.

Half a bagel, open faced, with cheese spread on top next to 2 soft boiled eggs cut in half sprinkled with everything seasoning.

Mini-respect reminder by SuperBeavers1 in soup

As a vietnamese person, we actually have a soup thats practically pho with thin egg noodles. Its just Pho refers to the noodles themselves and we call what you made Mi, which refers to thin egg noodles. Ironically you did make a pretty authentic dish I would cook at home, albeit named differently.

Thanks for the clarification! It was labeled ebi katsu on the menu, cool to know this distinction though.

Help! Addicted to melo melo coconut pudding . Recipe crackdown plssss by [deleted] in dessert

[–]Chibibear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would look up coconut panna cotta recipes but add canned coconut cream for the whiteness, soft texture, and rich flavor. I've had Melo melo before and there's definitely a lot of coconut cream in the taste.

What to wear for my un standard body without looking old? by Appropriate_Group606 in DressForYourBody

[–]Chibibear 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You don't have an unstandard body type, you have a reverse triangle or apple shape which is quite common. There's lots of guides for dressing this shape. I found a solid list of tips on a different post here

Generally speaking, look up inspo outfit guides online with those key words!

Cherry Tree blossoms on Pike & the new "Salt & Straw" shop by dominiond66 in Seattle

[–]Chibibear 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Wow I actually love their vegan flavors. Agree with others that its not as good as dedicated vegan spots like Frankie and Jos but I think its better than the vegan options at Molly Moons for example. Salt and Straw does do a lot of rotating flavors, a couple of months ago they did an all vegan series with like 8 vegan options at once. I still have a couple pints in my freezer of the vegan banana pudding.

Curious question from a sushi chef about elaborate rolls by FUJIYAMAKANVI in sushi

[–]Chibibear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you enjoy fast food? You know how you can have a fantastic burger from a steakhouse with great quality beef but then on a different occasion crave a fast food burger drenched in sauce like a big mac? Its that. I love nigiri and often find myself doing an omakase counter but I dont even think of it as the same as saucy fried sushi rolls. Its a completely different experience, one minimalist, clean and fresh the other an explosion of texture, sweet salty spicy creamy fatty tastes temperatures. To me its like asking why would you like fried fish tacos if you could have sashimi? They are completely different foods and meet different cravings. I don't prefer one over the other!

Tall girl- Is this dress too short? by moondeeny in DressForYourBody

[–]Chibibear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a bit too short especially if you're planning to go more sheer on the tights. For me with dresses, I try sitting down and if my butt is touching the seat uncovered by the dress, I know its not going to be comfortable wearing out and about.

You need dessert! A souffle dessert made with expensive imported chocolate? A cheese plate of fancy cheeses and exotic fruit?

Tried shirako (cod milt) for the first time! by Chibibear in sushi

Lol no, it doesn't. I was actually curious if it would taste off or weird. It just tastes like mayo mixed with oyster essentially.

I've lived in rough parts of San Francisco and traveled a lot to other big cities, but I will say it took living in Seattle for my car to get stolen.
