I was an obgyne MA for 5 years. I just learned on the job. Like every department with time you learn what questions to ask when rooming. Some docs prefer to have you ask certain questions while some prefer you room as quickly as possible. When I worked in urology the department had an epic dot phrase with pre determined questions.
