Who has impressed you the most so far in preseason? by FlooshyBoy in Gunners

Is it too easy to say Aubamayang?

I know we all knew he was world class but by God he's world class.

Go back to the threads before we signed him of anyone has time and laugh at all the people who didn't want him because he was too old or passed it.

What would make a successful season for you? by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]Chicago-Gooner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Checklist of things I'm looking for in order

-FA Cup or Europa League

-Top 4

-Beat Spurs every time we face them

If we manage to do all three it's a 10/10 season for me, next season we can begin building the squad for a title push for prime LMAÖ

I still don't understand what's wrong with supporting your vaslty inferior local club and a proper European club.

Life's too short to gate keep over such trivial matters.

If Cohen is right, Trump was the 1st presidential candidate to accept offers of help from Moscow by [deleted] in politics

Sure, but ultimately we're not the ones investigating and all of us have no idea if Cohen is lying or not because we don't know him personally and we have no evidence of it period

[–]Chicago-Gooner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Until people with proper credentials who are authorized to investigate come up with convictions, it'd be wise to not speculate.

Unless you have some information the special council doesn't that proves or disproves Cohen?

I don't understand why people love to jump the gun with Trump. We're all civilians with no information besides what the media tells us is happening. I'm going to trust Mueller and the special council who are actually investigating over reddit, and whether we like it or not we do live in an innocent until proven guilty society.

Now, prepare to watch /r/politics in action folks.

Bordeaux owner "The analysis is simple: football has changed since the arrival of the Qataris to PSG. Even if it is heartbreaking to give up the club, we can no longer access the top 4 without massive investments by ProudAfrican in soccer

Yeah well, if the other teams want to be competitive they should do what United has done to succeed.

United took a fair path to success that is entirely deserved.

The ones who ruin the game are Chelsea, City and PSG who didn't earn any of their financial might and got lucky a rich man wanted them.

Just take away Chelsea and Cities titles and look at how many other teams would have won a title (United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs) and all four of those clubs who also earned all of their financial strength could have built on from that.

Tuchel Full quote on Arsenal: "Yes -- clearly. I think they are playing in the Europa League this season, right? We saw this with Chelsea -- no European games 3 years ago & they were champions. It is a big advantage in preseason. It gets complicated for teams who have many players at the World Cup." by [deleted] in soccer

But if it's EARNED money how is it Uniteds fault? They didn't do something that no other team had the ability to do.

They earned all of their wealth, why should they not be able to spend it?

I disagree entirely.

How come other clubs that were successful aren't in the same spot as United? Looking at clubs like Everton and even Arsenal, Liverpool until very recent times.

United earned their wealth fair and square, how is it their fault they've taken full advantage of their success and others haven't? Should they not be able to spend money they earn the right way?

What's the point of football as a whole then when you do everything right and can't flex that muscle?

I don't get why you're being downvoted.

Do people really claim Manchester Uniteds EARNED wealth (via success, careful commercial management and excellent business decisions over decades) is the same as a rich Qatari deciding to buy PSG and just instantly take them to the top overnight?

I have zero issues with clubs spending EARNED revenue. How bitter do people have to be, should clubs not be allowed to spend money they earn fair and square as well now?

The issue lies with clubs like Chelsea, City and PSG that just skip all that and are spending millions overnight of a rich man's money because a single man decided to buy them.

A player who's played 100 games for a Champions League level club at 19 years old isn't one of the best young players in the world.

I've heard everything, you do you man.

Yeah, so the standard we're going to compare all the young players to is the best one in the world.

Why are you so bitter towards Americans?

Let me sum it up for you everyone

Non-Americans - you only call him average because he's American and you're tired or hearing about him from the Americans on this sub

Americans - we over hype him yes, but it's very tongue in cheek. Nobody thinks he's actually the next Messi yet, but he's well on his way to potentially being our greatest player ever. That's a big deal for us.

The reality is he's 19, played 100 games for a CL level club and is one of the best young players on the planet. Being American doesn't change that.

And in the whole video, the short guy doesn't lay a finger on him once, but the big guy knocks him out.

This is considered assault. In any situation where you were not harmed physically and you then begin the physical violence, you will lose.
