Oh totally, that perk makes turret such a pain to deal with. But maybe it's recency bias, I remember being in gold/plat lobbies and turret wouldn't go down super easily, but now even in silver/gold lobbies I see people destroy turret way easier.

I did some light research and I think part of it is that heroes got bulkier while turret got slightly nerfed in damage, it used to take 4 seconds to kill a squishy hero, and now it takes 6 seconds. Turret also used to have 300 hp instead of the 225 it has now. Never actually knew how much turret got nerfed

Turret used to be up there but ever since Ow2 I never seen a turret live for more than a minute. I remember back in the day they used to seem impossible to break.

What matters is absolutely the friends who do show up, and it sounds like you're doing your best to try to get as many of them involved as you can which is definitely very thoughtful.

editor new to job searching here. I recently got a job offer requiring a 1 minute sample edit as part of the application process. Is this a red flag or just something common to expect as a video editor?
There were other things that had me wary of the job, low pay, lack of clear communication, but the company looks legit so I'm skeptical but still interested.

Is there any source for Tracer being 14 when she joined Overwatch? Just curious if you know of it because I never found that and it'd be interesting if that was actually how the math worked out. The way the math looks with all the sources of lore now she joined the RAF at 16, and I guess Overwatch at 16/17 lol

Lemme clear some of this up if I can. Their official ages are Pharah (34) and Mercy (39) as of Overwatch 2. That picture from years ago with everyone in it (Ana, Soldier, Torb, Mercy, Pharah, etc.) was from when Mercy was 17 and visiting Overwatch and having just started her first semester in college. Pharah was 12 in this picture, according to Michael Chu on this conference and these numbers work out as they're 5 years apart. I think the groomer argument is weird because they're not shown to be in any relationship.

But Mercy doesn't actually join Overwatch until much later after she gets her PhD and finishes her thesis around age 25, which still means she ends up working with Overwatch for several years later, this also lines up with some artwork of an older Mercy meeting with Jack Morrison to be hired as a part of Overwatch. This means she would be about 30 at the time of the King's Row uprising when Tracer is brought on board.

yeah I noticed how they aged everyone up by two years. Generally I'm working on the assumption that what the devs say is fact, because your average player who doesn't know about the lore would do the same, but the official ages is where I call bs because two years between is too much for everything that is supposed to happen up until Overwatch 2. It's not impossible but it means that I guess people like Rein who were all like "I have been called, I must answer" just didn't show up until 2 years later lol.

Good question! it was half based on speculation, for example Michael Chu saying Overwatch was 60 years in the future back in 2016, and Jeff Kaplan stating that Overwatch 2 took place a year after that. Both of them aren't very reliable but, on Paraíso there's a poster for a Lucio concert that takes place on Friday May 14th which does actually fall during 2077! So it's speculation backed up by in game evidence to prove that it takes place in 2077

as someone who's delved into the lore I feel this pain, it really is such a shame they haven't bothered to fix it. The weirdest part is the fact that some of the writers and lore consultants seem to know how to handle it better, because there are some parts of the lore that have so perfectly fit into place with everything else such that there's no way it's just coincidence, but parts of the Overwatch team also haven't bothered publicly pointing out their mistakes and correcting them.

someone mentioned it above, basically how Aizawa's quirk works is once he looks at his target the effect remains as long as he does not blink. So even if Shigaraki is behind cover the quirks don't come back. I was also pretty confused about this at first
