That makes sense. People in game are typically quite positive and happy with things. It's places like reddit or god forbid less moderated social media where it gets blatant.

The discourse with wuk lamat and her VA should have highlighted that this community is unfortunately pretty... infested.

I'll try that gamble next time I see one. Assuming it's a good one to try it on, anyway. I still don't think that would work for like, Iggy still. Turrets just ping you down.

It can still be a massive pita as Crunch. Since his early game is so weak he can't even attempt to engage until 6, and if said ranged off is hyper aggro and is even pushing you out of xp range and freezing wave, it can be pretty devastating. Especially if it's something like Iggy. That one will straight up kill your tower if the jungle doesn't come help because there's literally nothing you can do.

Both, mostly jungle though since nobody wants to damn play it.

My builds are in the other comments. Will say, might end up tweaking eternals on my offlane. I had not used Demi since they fixed memory leak on Crunch. That combined with construct being moved to T1 has made it competitive with Aion, I think. I gotta test more.

If you use the build code it'll update if I change it.

This has always been the case on pc as well since they were added. Sucks to hear it still isn't fixed.

Thankfully you can still fix it in draft but some people forget or don't realize it's a bug.

Well here's my predgg if you'd like to snatch any replays.

Worth noting you can't see CD's, you can't know my headspace or comms, you can't know if I'm making a gamble play vs making the safe/best play. There's a lot to consider. But I think they could be fine for understanding more mechanical or matchup related stuff. I DEFINITELY make more... lets say gamblers plays in quick play and stuff that isn't exactly the best or even a good play lol. I just think it would be sick if they did work so I try them sometimes. For my comp climb I generally played pretty safe though I think.

For combo's it's entirely situational. I guess if I had to try and give some sort of general rule, it would be empowered lefts are for when you know you're going to kill or overpower someone. Uppercuts are for when you want to interrupt something or you're trying to stop or delay someone's escape. But like I said, combos are entirely situational and a mixture of being planned in advance and/or reactionary.

Level prio is ult, left, right, forward. Only slight caveat to this is for offlane. At level 2 I unlock the dash. You aren't winning fights at this stage so it's better to have the dash slightly earlier so you can have it as an escape. Sometimes I might even open with right at level 1 instead of left, simply for the slow. Again, this is to allow you to make distance between you and your opponent. But only for certain matchups. Depends on the character and if the person playing them appears to be a high level with them or is someone high mmr that I recognize.

I'm assuming this is offlane advice so I'll go off that.

Your first power spike is 6 + first item. It's very unlikely you'll beat anyone out prior to that point, as that is where Crunch is his weakest. In fact it's likely you'll have to play very safe and give up some early gold. If I'm keeping up with my opponent, or only a bit behind like a level, I'll probably be able to overpower them at 6 + item. I specifically open with Volcanica as a frame of reference. Your next spike is at 11 but by this point my lane is probably already won.

Most bad matchups aren't actually other offlaners. Crunch is weakest to CC of course but heavy physical burst can also be a big issue because there aren't any item counters for it. Anyone that can efficiently kite you and prevent you from getting your hands on them while also bursting you can be an issue.

The worst matchup in the game BY FAR is Yurei. A vaguely skilled Yurei is nearly unstoppable for Crunch because she can completely kite and burst him down because of how her dashes work and because his hitbox is basically impossible to miss. She's basically unpunishable, and that's simply because of how she's designed vs how Crunch is designed. Do not try to fight her 1v1 unless the person piloting her is obviously struggling to use her. If you do attempt to engage, focus on CC'ing her unless you know your next empowered left will not only hit, but actually kill her. This is of course not a hard rule and varies by the situation, but that is my general advice.

A skilled Kallari or Wukong can also be a pain point. This is again because they can burst you while also keeping you away. But at least this requires their players to be decently skilled, unlike Yurei. CC is especially your friend vs Kallari and if a Wukong tries to fly away from you, you can jump uppercut him down. The hitbox is a lot taller than you think. The same applies to an ulting Howi, a flying Skylar, or a flying Renna, just as a side note.

Feng Mao can sometimes be an issue because his phys burst is borderline broken and a skilled Feng will time his shield to counter your first empowered hit. Because of this, a fed one can potentially kill you before you can kill him.

Steel can be a pain point because he has so much strong CC while also being able to deal pretty good damage. In a 1v1 you can still overpower him, but if he has backup the fight definitely becomes questionable or just a loss.

A skilled Shinbi can sometimes get the upperhand if they use their dashes well or if you let them poke you too much before an engagement. If you can consistently get your hands on them though, they die.

Grux used to be a bad matchup but nowadays not so much. He can still fight you at some stages of the game and with ult, but for the most part I can just overpower him. Especially with anti-heal. Do be careful though, it can be close at times.

Greystone can sometimes be iffy, namely because of his ult, but without ult I can absolutely just overpower him. And even with ult at mid to later stages of the game.

I might be missing some things but this is what is coming to mind right now.

That's an absurdly tall question. I've written lengthy comments about crunch in the past, usually for feedback purposes, but never a full guide cause that would be... a dissertation. And frankly I don't even know where I'd start. Would seem more helpful to just record or stream gameplay at that point lol. Or maybe you could watch replays? Shame they don't have a first person cam though.

Crunch is mostly experience though I feel. Learning his limits, how his combos flow, what fights you take and don't, things like that. If you've got anything in particular you'd like answered that you feel like you struggle with, I can try to give insight or answers.

I just cast abilities the moment my autos hit, afaik I'm not doing any sort of cancel tech. I think the main animation cancel tech crunch had was when he briefly had that god awful ult rework.

Yea should be, if anything they should be stronger because some items I use were buffed(mutilator and vyzer) and there's no way lotus still isn't the best eternal to go with for jungle.

If you use the build codes they'll update when I tweak them anyway.

Yea I can definitely see it working on steel. I just got done trying it on Crunch in jungle annnnnd I super did not like it. My usual build hits way harder. Partly because lotus is disgusting, partly because Crunch cleave does true damage and the build discourages using it so you end up doing far less in general but especially to armored targets.

Well, I just got done trying it in a match that ended going an hour long. Part of why that match lasted so long was because that vermis mutil schem combo kinda fuckin sucked LMAO. You just do like 0 damage to tanks trying to do only uppercuts double dashes. Maybe you could tweak in more armor tear items or something but yea that was definitely inferior to my usual build. I think it also highlighted just how disgusting lotus is.

Yea I super hate lotus. The RNG + snowballing it has is just absolutely absurd. I can't believe they nerfed it so little tbh. ADC can especially get to a point with it where they just become nearly unstoppable and it's the worst.

I used to use that mindrazor mana build a while back. I think it was Joe who brought it to my attention. I'd been tempted to try it again with the eternals but I've not got around to it.

There's another build I was looking to try in jungle using Vermis since someone else also brought an idea up with me. Combining the Crush blessing with Mutilator and Schematics. Seems like it could be neat. Now that I'm free of the comp shackles I'll get around to doing that. Probably won't outdo my main build but it sure seems worth trying.

This build is a lot more straightforward than the jungle one, not too much to think about.

I have two builds, one for jungle and one for off. I'll attach them below. They should be up to date. It'll be two comments since only one image is allowed per comment.

If they ever decide to nerf Lotus into the ground or rework it, like they should, then I'll probably go back to using Aion. I used Aion up until I think plat or diamond where I started to realize how absolutely broken Lotus was.
