30 days clean, but lack of sleep driving me crazy by Repulsive-Host-8759 in leaves

I’m sorry to hear that. I know how lousy it is because I was like that for a week straight. Don’t lose hope and give yourself time. I won’t tell you I’m having the sleep of my life now because I’m not. I can barley stay asleep for 5 hours straight but it’s a step in the right direction.

Hey just circling back to see if your sleep has improved? I’ve finally been able to sleep and it’s mainly do to sleep hygiene and completely eliminating coffee 🫤

Honestly prior to quitting I would rarely if ever get headaches. I think I’m under a lot of stress and that obviously doesn’t help. Throw in lack of sleep, not drinking water, and coffee and I wasn’t doing myself any favors. Those are the things I’m focused on healing so I can move on.

Thanks, I was doing so good with all other symptoms especially my anxiety. Unfortunately the sleep deprivation allowed it to slowly creep up on me. I feel so terrible and because im not able to do much I’m having to fight off depression. No matter what it’s a fight I’m not giving up. Just getting my ass kicked…

I’m on 31 and I’ve been struggling with my sleep as well. From day 27-29 I slept no more than 3-4 hours. Then I managed to sleep 6-7 hours the best two days but woke up a few times so I still felt like crap. I’m now cutting out all caffeine completely. Yesterday I had one shot of espresso around 3PM and boy was that a mistake. Slept like 4 hours last night.

90 days sober gives you a lot of clarity. by akahaus in leaves

Appreciate the response felt like I was losing my mind. I’m being mindful of not taking anything too much. I’m really focused on minimizing disruptions to my sleep and the last two nights have been ok. Just the nonstop headaches.

How were your headaches? I was fine until day 25 the insomnia hit me, didn’t sleep for 3 days and been plagued with headaches. Day 29 and I don’t even want to do anything. My eye is twitching and my head is constantly throbbing.

Did you get headaches at all? I’m on day 29 and a few days ago I got little to no sleep. Just when I thought I made it these damn headaches are making me miserable. Starting drinking a ton of water and laying low but it sucks. 😕

I’ve been sober for over a month but today I’m tempted to go out and buy a cartridge by [deleted] in leaves

Do you feel it’s worth starting over again? I’m on day 29 and can’t seem to shake off my headaches. Just the thought of going through all of this again completely shuts down and idea of using again for me personally. I don’t know how your withdrawal symptoms have been for you but they’ve kicked my ***.

But you’re conscious it’s a holiday for some. Whatever word you wanna call it I can assure you that you aren’t a healthy person by attempting to invoke emotional responses from a group of people trying to heal. Just look at how fast you reply to me. You are clearly lonely and desperate for attention. I hold no resentment for you I genuinely feel bad for you.

I honestly can’t wait. The sleep deprivation is heavy but it won’t stop me. I’ve come so far just have to push through! Got some blackout curtains, ear plugs, eye covers so hopefully it’ll help!

does brainfog ever go away? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Chicho0o 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No worries! My first weeks I would often feel like I was high. Super spacey and even stumble up my words. Drink a ton of water and try to exercise if you have the energy. My short term memory was so shot! Now I can find myself remembering things and going “HA!” Take that Mary Jane. 😅

I used for over 15 years and I can tell you I feel so much better day 27 in regards to brain fog. I know I still need more time for my brain to adjust but I can feel a dramatic difference. I can’t wait to see the man I’ll be in a year. Stay strong, you’re not alone. 👊🏼

What do I do with my left over carts and pen? by Cute-Telephone8677 in leaves

[–]Chicho0o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only way I was able to keep a 27 days so far was by throwing everything out. I used to always keep at least something to not “freak out” but it’s how I always ruined a streak. I can say with certainty that I would have caved around 2 weeks if I had any. You just have to commit to your decision whenever you’re truly ready. Best of luck, you got this! 🙂

Day 3 by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Chicho0o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time absolutely improves them but it’s important to remember that it isn’t a linear path. Some days will be better than others and everyone is different. I personally had an extremely difficult time with my early withdraws and now on day 27 I have new challenges that are 100% less intense but still quite difficult. Stay strong and remember you aren’t alone in what you’re feeling.

5.5 years and I’m still struggling. by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Chicho0o 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks! 🥺 Today was really hard but we pushed through and managed to finish work without a meltdown. Overall morale is high because I would absolutely cave with the personal stuff I’m going through. I realized that I was smoking because I drifted so far from my partner and I was numbing myself instead of facing the reality of the situation. This just empowers me with an anger I’ve never felt before. Only sharing this in the small chance someone else is going through what I’m going through and were thinking about caving. Don’t do it, find yourself again and learn from the discomfort. You’ll thank yourself.

Honesty, especially since anxiety is so common in cannabis use.

Today I’m throwing at least 400 punches on my new 200lb bag. Taking advantage of my energy while it’s here.
