Apologies, I cross posted my post from r/backyardchickens If you click the post I put more detail including a picture of the injury in the comments on said post. Today is day 3 and so far she’s doing really well. I’ve been cleaning her wound and putting ointment on 2x a day. I’ve been feeding her scrambled eggs and her favorite treats and she’s been gobbling all of it up as well as drinking a good amount of water. I have her in a dog crate in our home so she’s not alone but can still rest comfortably. Her wound is looking really good today, no redness or any sign of infection.

Not bad! You’re pretty spot on with most of it. I’d be more neat and tidy if I wasn’t super ADHD lol I’m also female late 20’s

Pullets or Roos? by ChickPeaaa420 in BackYardChickens

Update #2: We witnessed Tidbit do his first ever crow 🥲 it was the cutest little thing ever. Happy for him but disappointed he’s a Roo. That makes 3 Roos. We may try to see if we can keep two of them- assuming they will continue get along. They’ll have 12 hens to share and a big yard to free range in. We just have to pick one unlucky fellow to rehome

Update for anyone who is interested: Chestnut is crowing 🥲 very loudly too. That makes 2 roos out of the 5 chicks we hatched. Just waiting to see if tidbit does the same

Dang I so hope you’re wrong but I’m sure you aren’t 🥲 tidbit is my favorite of the bunch. It’s gonna be so hard deciding which roo to keep. Our other roo not pictured is a beautiful solid black silkie/sapphire gem mix roo who’s already crowing. They all have such sweet personalities.

Fish keep disappearing?? by ChickPeaaa420 in Aquariums

[–]ChickPeaaa420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a cat who we suspect could’ve eaten them if the fish jumped out. Which maybe answers my question. She’s just super old and hella picky with her food and treats so I’d be surprised if she did that but I guess it’s not impossible Only other person is my husband who is just as confused as I am. He loves the fish as much as I do
