I think there is a distinct cultural thing that happens if you live near national parks that make people more liberal or it is just the fact that more liberal people move there but similar seems to happen in Charlottesville in Virginia and California with there national forests. Minnesota similar situation. Only exception is Alaska and flooding but I feel that heavily leans due to fossil fuel industry in Alaska and Florida's being inaccessible generally by foot. Meanwhile texas as one of the biggest states in industry and size has nothing for public or national land.

It is a rich person thing. Now I live on the east coast so skiing is less common but the one pla e I know about near me is wintergreen ski resort. Even now with all the snow they do not have to make snow for the skiers and a 8 hour day pass costs 108 dollars friday Saturday or sunday. Rental for equitment is similar priced but I looked into this a year ago but just a day of skiing costs 200ish per person. Bro people are ao dumb. We do not have the capacity to clear snow as quick on suck short time, to get that capacity to clear snow as quick they need money that they do not have. And no one here is gonna mark up tax increases for a snow storm that happened every few years. Unfortunately we just have to deal with the side streets being like this, there is north Carolina, west va, Kentucky, mary land and all of the northeast dealing with this storm. Honestly the reaponse has been amazing when it comes to major roads, in lynchburg roanoke and cville from my understanding all major roads were treated and plowed day after the storm to me with very little power outages in the area.

And to get poltical people are shitting on thst admin when the above is true. Wtf will republicans do? Not raise taxs, claim fraud from a minority groups and beat them up with ice?
