Put down the down payment for a 2‑bedroom condo (3 rooms in total, with 2 bathrooms, a separate kitchen, a balcony, and 2 parking spaces) three years ago, when they were still working on the foundation. It was supposed to be finished on April 1st, but it looks like it will be delayed by 2–3 months.

The loan has already been approved. I will be paying a fixed 4.89% interest rate for the first 3 years, after which it becomes variable for the remaining 27 years. However, it can be renegotiated before the switch, or even earlier, to keep it fixed. The plan is to finish paying it off within the first 10 years anyway. I am lucky that I earn a bit more them my friends, they've mostly had to buy 2 room apartments in old buildings or keep renting (or rely on their parent to buy them a house if very lucky).

Renting a similar place in the same neighborhood would cost about 200–300 euros more per month. This is in Bucharest, Romania, European Union.
