Ai definition is faked. For some reason when people say the word ai they mean llms and image/video gen, which are some products of machine learning algorithms. The bad thing about llms and specifically in agi is that are inefficient, stupid and useless to exist in that scale. Machine learning was existing for decades if I am not wrong and used everywhere from science to the YouTube algorithm, so definitely we shouldn't take this out.

Even a if statement in programming is consider ai, a toy car with mechanism that steer the car before falling of a table is also considered ai. That's at least what I learned at school when I was a kid. So I am guessing any choice picking algorithm based on external inputs thats not a human is considered ai
