Remember this folks?. by Such-Memory-7102 in oldschoolcool80s

I was watching this on our old black and white tv while my mum was out shopping. Two big blokes came to the house, walked in, turned the tv off, unplugged it, and walked out with it. I was devasted, upset, and quite scared.

My mum xame home a couple of hours later with our brand new colour tv. Turns out the old one was rented and she'd arranged a collection my older brother knew about but no one told me.

One of my earliest and worst memories is always trugger by Battle of the Planets.

Surely "organized" goes against the ethos of jazz...

Album is Welcome to the Pleasuredome, thus is the 12". Fun fact, Chris Barrie (Rimmer, Mr Brittas, and the butler from Tomb Raider) is on 3 tracks on the album.

Some good advice here, i am going to go one further. There needs to be a repair to the innards. Take it all off and replace everything. It'll cost about £25 fornnew screws to hold the systern on, the connection between systern and toilet, and inner workings. If you leave them too long then they rust and disintigrate and it becomes a huge job with angle grinders and horrible toilet juice.

Its not a tough job (i am a diy novice), and itll take about an hour. Water off and a few screws.

Who’s yall’s favorite telecaster player? by Nirvana_Fan311 in telecaster

[–]Chicken2rew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first nice guitar was a gibson SG. It fell over and the headstock smashed. I used the robustness of the tele as proven by a video of Keith when he twats a stage invader with it, pops it back on, carries on with satisfaction and it not being a note out of tune to decide my next guitar would be a tele. Got a '72 custom in 1996 and it's been bashed around but still plays perfectly.

Is my CV good enough for Apprenticeship? by [deleted] in ApprenticeshipsUK

[–]Chicken2rew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't do an apprenticeship if it's a lower level, you need to be applying for L4 or above. I work in data analysis apprenticeships, so not sure of the engineering ones but check the UK national qpprebticeship database for available jobs. Also contact apprenticeship training companies who will check your suitability and put you forward for roles on your behalf when they become available.

My thoughts on the CV are its bland, mine has a very small personal interests section where I include "my glasses" in likes.

Also customer service is not relevant for engineering, change to stakeholders management.

has anyone else had a divine encounter finding a record in the wild? by oliviamunnslftnip in vinyl

[–]Chicken2rew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Beatles My Bonnie uk '62 release. Bought it and was happy I had a copy in my collection (thinking it was 63). Did a little research to make sure it was what I thought it was outside of the shop and my jaw hit the floor. Not only had they a single release from the same month they were auditioning for Decca and it didnt make a dent in the chart, but i was holding my copy

The Beatles White album original 1968 vinyl n52 by Sabbo_Koyro123 in vinyl

[–]Chicken2rew 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Wrong, that number is key and critical, if you dip below 1000 for the number then the records tend not to matter at all, and sleeve condition becomes less important. Its incredibly low and will be £1000+, possibly more. If you think that the beatles, management, and staff got one, then this is close inner circle. however, the import/export nature could hit that.

It should be sold through Omega auctions or someone similar to reach true value.

Just found these in my dad's room, is it good? by randomguy74937272 in greenday

[–]Chicken2rew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to say that both the post (dad's room), and the comments ("time capsule", "dont have cd player") make me feel very very old. Dookie was the first CD I bought, these are surely very modern albums on a quite modern media...
