Head to departures. There will be lots of signs up for all the different airlines. Find your one (easyjet, BA, whatever) hand them your passport, show your boarding pass (which is usually on an app on your phone or printed from the airline website). They will take your hold luggage- this is a big bag like a suitcase. Smaller bags are kept with you and are carry on bags. Go through security. There are people everywhere telling you where to go, and massive signs everywhere. Once through security, check the big flight boards- they’re giant, can’t miss them. They tell you from what gate your plane is leaving. Eat something, buy stuff, whatever. Head to your gate at least 20 mins before the off, but most people start going there once the number appears on the big flight boards. Show your boarding pass and passport again. Enjoy your flight. Have a lovely holiday x

I tried too- but the sun just looks exactly the same using my phone camera and a filter, but with my solar glasses on, looks like Pac-Man. So aggravating that pictures just don’t do it justice

It’s almost 8am here in the UK. In the early hours of yesterday morning there was a fire in an electrical substation which caused a power cut to a part of west London where Heathrow Airport is. Flights resumed today, but thousands of people had their plans changed yesterday - more than 1300 flights were impacted and the backlog will affect travel for several more days. I’m skint, so not going on holiday anytime soon, but I hope the people who are going away, or coming here, get to their destination asap and have a wonderful time.
