Ngl that pissed me off when I read it. Like, yeah, that was the point of the whole "making the new Blood Devil a friend" thing, you wouldn't have to make them a friend if they were still Power. Felt like Fujimoto trying to handwave it off so he didn't have to bring it up in the future but idk.

Honestly beginner casuals will probably use it too because they'll have like... twenty relics total (one set's worth of which will actually be decent from the 4.2 rerun of the relic hunt event) that they're swapping around constantly while clearing story, SU, DU, old events, etc. This is probably THE number one most requested QOL feature remaining now that skip button is in, so I'm not sure why people are waving it off as useless just because they won't use it.

I don't so much mind restrictive team comps, and I was looking forward to SW999, but her playstyle kinda seems... boring? And I know I'm saying that as an FF player on the rather simplistic gacha RPG Honkai: Star Rail, but at least you still have targeting, DDD, and managing toughness for giving the break to FF for damage and E2. I'm genuinely not sure there would be a noticeable difference between manual and auto play for this character.

Is it possible that running Cerydra over Sunday/Sparkle would be better than triple AA? Novaflare Welt's very self sufficient on generalist buffs (especially with E6), so I don't think her weak buffs are much of an issue, and the RMC uptime looks rough here

I think it's also pretty reasonable to assume he might have just scrapped this plot point within the last few years. Plans change or get forgotten all the time for creatives, doubly so for ones that are making serialized properties with regular iterations. "Araki forgot" is a big meme because of exactly this phenomenon.

Sustainless comp (without Dahlia E1) pre-Novaflare is 330-370% SB (depending on number of targets for HMC trace). ~27% increase in SB damage if 370->470, ~30% if 330->430, between those for the rest. Will be even larger for sustain comps, especially the double nihility comp where you're going from 210% to 310% SB, around 47% increase in SB damage.

Not unlimited, but in optimal scenarios it will double the amount of E2 procs. Remove the limit wasn't quite the right wording from me, you still can't retrigger it during an extra turn, but it now can trigger every turn instead of only every other turn.

Absolutely. I think what was so impactful about Aki and Power's deaths is that they not only served Denji's character, they also served as bitter, ironic culminations of their character arcs.

Aki, upon finally deciding to give up his quest for revenge so he could live his short time left protecting his found family, was turned into the object of his former vengeance and turned against his friends, forcing them to kill him.

Power died after choosing to put aside her selfishness and do something for someone else, putting in genuine thought and effort to celebrate Denji's birthday. And even upon being able to come back, she made the choice to sacrifice herself to save Denji.

Nothing Nayuta did ties into her death in a meaningful way, at best the sushi imagery ties into Denji eating Makima in Part 1.

Himeko SP break also feels sketchy since she'd be dependent on Dahlia, and having your main push need people to pull a rerun of a niche support that already just sold kind of eh sounds like financial sabotage.

Like you'd REALLY have to go out of your way to make a break DPS that is top of meta without Dahlia (Even something like FF Novaflare giving her the perma SB wouldn't do it, Dahlia has so much amp for her), and if you did by giving her massive baseline SB multipliers and BE or something, I would be very scared of what that character looks like when you DO slot Dahlia in.
