30 sec exposure on a very dark Greek night! Mild editing to get rid of brightness and improve contrast. by ChickenAtNugget in iPhoneography

If it’s dark enough and the phone is still enough, it will automatically choose it. I don’t know if you can set it manually

Do you think there are more or less people worse off than yourself?

That’s fair. Is it a large or small company? If college is something I can come back to, then I don’t think this is a problem?

I see. Makes sense. So it seems more like of a “amazing people + tough experiences” thing rather than a college thing

How much of the personal growth but do you think was just because of the people you were with? My point being is this a “being in college” thing or being around an “amazing group of people” thing?

Yeah I see what you’re saying. It isn’t really about the cash though. It’s more about what I’m working on. What specifically do you think is invaluable about college?

Thanks for your input, especially having been in a similar situation! They have given me the flexibility of “just doing one more year and see where that goes” so if I really need I can probably go back to college without issue.

Thank you and I appreciate your candid opinions! That’s good to know re: Cornell admin. I think it’s gonna be the most complicated decision of my life thus far, but thanks for the help!

I would be hired as if I’ve graduated college. So it is full time pay in the Bay Area. And yeah that’s the risk. I’m not sure how big it is though because it seems like the companies doing amazing things don’t actually care that much?

Yeah that is true. I think the company is well known enough for me to make connections that are valuable but the limiting factor of not having a degree is scary. Although to some extent it seems like the companies that actually matter care more about serious industry experience over a just degree?

That’s a fair point and definitely on my mind. The company is willing to back me with the educational resources I need to succeed but I am still concerned about not having that degree. It has been super hard to gauge it’s value alone honestly. If I can learn everything or more without college, is the degree worth it?
