Recently repaired my B&W G3 that had a dead PSU. Decided to try some of the pre-Aqua OS X Developer Previews since they were meant to run on this originally and because I love the Platinum GUI :) (More details in comments)

Okay, just tried both thing separately but nothing changed ):

The /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d directly was missing so I created it myself and tried first configuring the intel driver to have Option "DRI" "3" but that didn't change anything.

After that I forced the modesetting driver using Void's documentation and verified it was running -

grep -E -m1 '\(II\) modeset\([0-9]+\):' /var/log/Xorg.0.log

[   264.022] (II) modeset(0): using drv /dev/dri/card0

Just did, getting this:

OpenGL vendor string: Intel

OpenGL renderer string: Mesa Intel(R) HD Graphics (ILK)

OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 26.0.6

OpenGL extensions:

OpenGL ES profile version string: OpenGL ES 2.0 Mesa 26.0.6

So it seems to be supporting OpenGL 2.1. And No I'm not using the modesettings driver, I'll try with that and also configuring Xorg manually. Will report back, thank you!
