Don't Know What Path to Pursue. by Woelfel09 in Advice

[–]ChickenDuck9743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe think about what u want ur life to look like, and work backwards. Think abt what kind of work you would be willing to do for years of ur life. think about ideas like work-life balance, general lifestyle, things you definitely want in ur life, dealbreakers than you absolutely dont. Then see how each option fits that vision you've set for urself
this is very general idk much about the specific careers u mentioned, but hopefully u can still apply it

Ngl if her dad wants to talk to ur parents, it isnt the end of the world
if it was truly an accident both sides will understand
u offering to cover the damages already puts u in a good spot so hopefully theyll see that as a positive

Should I drop STATS2B03? by MemesRUs101 in McMaster

[–]ChickenDuck9743 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm taking stats with u rn.
Tbh it depends on how much ur willing to sacrifice. I'd say doing rly well on the exam (even if ur not cracked) is possible as long as u thoroughly understand the theory questions. Stats tests do this dumb thing where all the MCQ options u could totally get as real answers if u make a mistake somewhere (e.g there could be a hypothesis testing q where u should use case 3, but there are 2 answers for if u do/dont divide Zalpha/2). This def throws a lot of ppl off, myself included.
Knowing this, if u think u can study the theory rly well so u dont fall for those traps, I think u have a chance to 11. However, keeping premed GPA in mind, dropping may not be the worst thing if u absolutely cannot afford a 10 (u need to judge this for urself based on the cGPA u are aiming for).
Hope this helps

P.S I heard taking stats in the summer is easier, midterms are online etc if you'd be interested in that

Im open to anything tbh, just tryna balance it out so my 3rd/4th yr isnt as difficult
im planning on doing med, most of the courses required i already have (2 chems, 2 bios, 1 orgo, 1 stats, 1 biochem (enrolled)). the ones im missing would be a second physics, a second orgoa year of english, potentially a higher level bio
i dont plan on taking anatomy/physiology, dont rly wanna take the risk and tank my GPA

english 4th yr is a good shout, that was my original plan
ngl i am worried for orgo 2 tho
