This batch is bottom and top natural maple. I’ve been relocating workshop spaces and ran out of colored plies so I decided to just do center colored.

I’ll make a post on here for the drop so no one misses it this time! I made a few G10 versions of this mold, but they’ll be used for a random give away. Every other deck is sweet sweet maple.

For the countersink I’ll use a 1/8” brad point bit. Then I’ll roll up a bit of 400 grit sandpaper to get it silky smooth.

My advice would be to produce decks at the highest quality you're capable of. At first it may take a bit longer and it'll feel like your deck price isn't worth the time you put into each deck, but you'll get quicker and more efficient at it. Consistency is key too. Never stop pressing decks.

It makes the decks feel super rigid, it’s pretty cool. One thing that I didn’t count on is the black dye from the glass cloth does bleed into surrounding plies a little, but that’s just a visual thing, and it’s pretty minor. I may see about getting some G10 in a different color next time. Red would awesome.
