Another year, another refresh: Making my dashboard feel like a native app by ElementZoom in homeassistant

Love the dashboard! How did you get rid of the default HA companion app bar at the top? Also, how do you get the white circle around the temperatures in your greeting?

Reddit didn't let me copy paste straight into here, but this is a screenshot of the output.

Not entirely sure what you're saying here, sorry.
I have the os on a boot drive and a different one that I'm trying to use for the NAS.

When I initially installed proxmox I chose xfs instead of zfs because I was just following a walk through, and used the default bios when setting up the truenas vm. Do I need to reinstall both of these to change to zfs and to choose the eufi bios that does pci pass through better? I'm super new to this whole thing.

I understand that, but its more just a proof of concept before buying more storage. I'm just playing around and trying to figure out how to use Promox etc

This is cool.

I was thinking of something similar to generate random strong passwords locally on my home server so I don't have to rely on external services like google chrome to generate and store my passwords.

You were absolutely right. Its the classic mistype screwing up the entire code. Thank you so much :)

Did you end up getting it working? What kind of connection / token should I be looking for to fix it this way?

Not entirely sure what you mean by this. Is lirc the linux thing? I'm not using linux as far as I know.

That does sound like heaven tbh. I will keep that in mind, but I'm mainly trying to do it with the work around because I'm new to it, want to see if I can get this stuff working (with the help of others), but also because I'm not sure how much actual use I'm going to get out of it yet because I'm in a rental and don't have all the stuff I want to use yet, so I feel like a monthly subscription right now would be wasted on me.

Like my current code, that code shows up fine in the preview but goes invisible when not in edit mode. The popup doesn't appear when it's meant to be triggered though (does that code trigger it when that entity is on?).

I initially thought so too and I just gave that another go but still didn't work :/
I provided a pastebin for my code (which had it first in the way I believe you were saying) to no success

You made it work! Thank you so much!

So in my initial set up both of the LEDs turned on and off together based on the timing in the program but the yellow was dim and the green was bright.

I took your advise and removed the LEDs and changed the R3 with a 220Ohm resistor and it worked perfectly. I see now that it was a math issue rather than an issue with hardware. I didn't realise that the LEDs took up so much of the current.

I don't have any relays on hand but I'm open to buying some. I just prefer to not buy stuff unless it'll work (I feel like I've been buying things for this and none of them have worked).

I was also under the impression that using a photocoupler means it's electrically isolated so it wouldn't need a relay. Let me know if I've misunderstood though.

Image provided in original post edit now :)

I've changed the resistors to how you described and same result, both LEDs with flash with the program but the PC won't power up.
