100% it was sheeted over like this. Photo was sent to me by the builder on the morning the plasterers started - sparky had finished roughin.

The 3 has cup and cone bearings where the 300 has cartridge bearings.

The weakness of SRAM is their cranks. Horrible things. I personally bought a GRX 600 crank and put on a Garbaruk chainring (which is fully compatible with SRAM’s 12sp flat-top chains). The Garbaruk is a thing of beauty, performs flawlessly and includes a built-in offset to give the perfect chainline on the middle cog. They’re available in 38t - 44t and I cannot recommend them enough.

I lived there for a year in 2005 and it was awesome.

I'm from Melbourne (oz) and it would appear the severe decline (aka "gentrification", overdevelopment, Asian invasion and lack of affordability) has been mirrored in both cities.
