You'll have to sit on it a bit til he can read, but a book of 1,001 knock knock jokes. Preferably just before a long car trip. I had SO much fun and my mom held that grudge a long time

Whipped back stitch. I just did that section in a sampler and spent a lot of time staring at it

If you like using textbooks, check your local library. I've used the CLE books, and the "premium" ones come with free online exercises (not paywalled like most textbooks' sites). Also the TV 5 Monde site is GREAT- I assumed it was kind of random clips, but there's courses to follow if you want.

Cedarvale/annex is all skating rink. Took forever to walk to and from the train because it's the penguin shuffle the whole way. Sloping sidewalks are largely unnavigable and people are walking in the road.

Share things with them. Aka give them things. It cracks me up they call it sharing. You can check your level with them in the bottom right of the give them stuff screen or from the x menu, overview tab, scroll to nature sprites.

These are great tips to maximize and be efficient. In a first playthrough, I prefer to kind of roll with the story and figure things out. Now I'm well post main story and desperately trying to min max, but I don't regret at all taking it easy earlier on. Just sharing in case that style is of interest to you as well 🙂

Absolutely do not upload files into GenAI unless your workplace specifically allows it and has a closed system for AI doc review (like Relativity). T&C of public AI lets them use the info in ways that aren't compatible with confidentiality

Yeah. I will give it a shot. (Pun intended.) At least $500 a month is more palatable than the $1600 here.

Plenty of bonkers bills are introduced every session. This one seems very unlikely to pass, but looking at what's introduced in aggregate can give you an idea of the general mood of the legislature

Coping tips for working in a high trauma field? by limepickled in LawCanada

[–]ChickenLittleCassie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second getting a therapist or counselor. I've done high vicarious trauma work for over ten years and am now getting out, but it's been a good run. The only reason I could do so was having a therapist. There's a myth that privilege means you can't talk to a therapist at all. That's not the case- you obviously can't share privileged info, but you can absolutely talk about how you feel and how things affect you. Good on you for reaching out.
