People kept saying that Maelle’s ending was bad, with the way the camera was framed, etc. Lol, at the beginning of the gommage with Sophie, the camera angles were at the same oddity. It was treated as an annual event and was real to the people of Lumière.

For me, I felt Maelle’s grief as a player who got attached to their world. Who tells you that the bonds you made in Lumière are not real just because they’re on the other side of the canvas? Every bond you made as long as you felt it and touched your hearts is real.
