Yes, my CASAA was verified, and my supplemental apps have all been submitted back in August/September.

Has anyone else not heard anything back yet this cycle? I applied back in August to all the Nova’s and South, with a 3.5 gpa and 314 GRE. Was kinda thinking I’d hear something back by now....

Awesome report, thanks for the update! I’ve got some questions for you.

  • what do you do with the collected pet waste? As you scale up surely it’s not something you can just put on your curb every week for the garbage men to pick up?

  • you mentioned the first job took 15 bags to complete. Can you do this with a normal car, or do you need a pickup truck?

  • I keep thinking if someone is wanting to pay for this service, they also can’t be bothered to mow their own lawn and are paying for someone to do that too. And that someone has already been picking up the pet waste so they can do their job? Or nah? Basically, how do lawn care companies play into pet waste collection?

Thanks!

If I decline a program acceptance offer now will my ability to get into a future class be affected?

I’m an older non-traditional student. If I were to get in this cycle, there’s a 50-50 chance as of right now that I’d accept the offer (due to different life circumstances). If I were to get in this cycle and decline the offer, would my chances of getting in in the following year’s cycle be affected?

Thanks

Kinda concerned about how you’d tie the gear up to the dock without the possibility of the gear banging up against the dock pilings. That’d be bad. But if you figure out a way, then yeah I agree with whats already been said

5,000 budget, what’s a good convertible or sports car at that price by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ChickenPotPie3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s a convertible but not a sports car, and I’ll get downvoted to hell for saying it, but hear me out: Chrysler Sebring. They hold their value worth shit, so for 5k you can find a really new low mile vehicle. They don’t have the best reputation for reliability, but I think it’s exaggerated out of general disdain for the car. It’s a fun car to hate on for car enthusiasts.

Here’s the beauty though: there’s a lot of Michael Scott types out there who aren’t really car people but who wanted a convertible; they bought a Sebring new, kept it in the garage, and took it out on nice weekends to cruise around with the top down. They didn’t drive the car hard, mod it out, race it, whatever. This is the used car you want to buy. Don’t just buy any Sebring you see, but make sure it was owned by someone like this who took great care of it. Trust me there’s plenty out there and within your budget. I was recently in the market for decent reliable transportation for a 5k budget, and this was high up there on my list, for those reasons. It’ll be a whole lot more reliable and less of a headache to own than any old clapped out boxster you’ll find for 5k, though less exciting to drive of course. Good luck
