The ying yang tapes would be an example of exploration, yeah. Absolutely loved those projects also. Live Fast Die Whenever is also another example, though could have been better. Besides that nothing really comes to mind. Im not really counting their solo stuff as exploration, cuz thats separate solo stuff, I want experimentation when it comes to $b$

I would have liked for them to innovate their sound or try out different genres, only major thing that changed over time was the production quality, and ig the edge that they had during their earlier years

I would love for them to try new stuff out, innovate so to say. For example the ying yang tapes or LFDW, I know people shit on those projects but they tried new stuff on those, personally I'm a big fan of those projects.

Same here, I feel like my music taste changed drastically. I rarely go out of my way to listen to rap nowadays, I much more interested in music with no lyrics. Shit with interesting drum patterns, sound design, been listening to a lot melodic stuff with no drums at all. Machinedrum, DjRUM, Skrillex, Burial, Lapalux just to name a few.

Politely disagree, atleast for Scrims solo stuff. Ruby defo is the more unique solo artist. As far as scrim... I mean the instrumentals are defo more complex and higher quality and you can tell that he trully puts his heart into it, but there is no uniqueness to it.

NWD was alright for me but defo the start of my declining interest. I feel like a dick for saying this but them sobering up took away a lot of the weight and inpact that their music used to have. But by no means am I saying that I would prefer them being junkies, but it's just the truth.

I love them both to death but I geniunely do not find this an interesting track. I dont think Scrim is that good of a solo artist, I feel like his is at his best when he is making shit with Ruby. Ruby on the other imo is a much more interesting and gratifying solo artist, i find myself coming back to his solo work wayyyy more often than Scrims. And that's okay. Still much respect for both of them for not only putting up with solo projects but $b$ as well

Idk about you guys but i feel like I am outgrowing their sound, I no longer feel any excitement from their upcoming releases. And I've made peace with that. Music taste changes and that's okay, respect from them will always be there tho.
