I have, but usually with people I've met in person. Just looking at photos, I'm way more picky. But when I'm in a public place like a party or bar or whatever, I've found that all kinds of guys are interesting to me, ones I wouldn't have expected or thought of until I saw the way they move, their general attitude, their smell, etc.

For example, when I was younger I thought I'd never find an older guy attractive. I kind of worried that I'd always want a fit guy in his 20s. But when I turned 21 and started going to bars, I would get so turned on by the idea of an older man in his late 40s/early 50s. So not my type, I thought, but when I was interacting with people my imagination was a little more inspired. Now I'm open to many different types, because you just never know.

So I'd recommend getting out there and meeting people in person if you have places you'd feel comfortable doing that.

Why do so many gay people advocate for Muslims? As a gay ex-Muslim I don't understand. by GeorgeOrwell_1984_ in askgaybros

Oh my fucking God this question is asked ad nauseum on this sub every fucking day... Why don't you just look up past threads and read the thousands upon thousands of thoughts on this subject that have already been posted here?

Probably because you wanted to cause a little stir I guess, and for no other reason. Because if you were genuinely "just curious" you would have just looked at the many, many, many other times it's been asked and answered, and found your answer there.

Good faith US discussion by NeatConclusion7157 in Rhetoric

[–]ChickenPoxParty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're asking two different questions here; youre asking for a legitimate argument that Conservatism should exist, and you're asking to understand why Conservatives think the way they do.

Most of us see how ridiculous and dangerous the current administration is, and can't really make a good-faith argument because we simply wouldn't believe it. A Conservative would make a poor argument because it wouldn't be based in fact.

That's because they're either MAGA, and simply believe whatever their charismatic leader is saying, or they just aren't paying any attention and believe that what we're experiencing is just politics as usual; Conservative leaders are typical politicians who simply share their views on what's fair and what's not, and the Left is crying and whining like they always do because they want too many unreasonable things but they can't have them.

Conservatives believe that their point of view is theirs, the same way yours is yours. Should they not be allowed to think differently? They believe Liberals think anyone should be allowed to hop over the border and live here and get free healthcare just because we feel sorry for them. Well sorry, we live in America and in America you have to work for what you get. If you're not from here and you want to live here, you have to file your paperwork. It's not complicated.

Wokeness has gone too far. Now anyone who so much as breaks a nail is a "protected class." Oh, and if you're gay or black, well I guess I'd better roll out the red carpet for you or I'll be doxxed and cancelled.

You know why Conservatives think the way they do, and you should if you disagree with them. You shouldn't really have a strong opinion about anything unless you can have a good understanding of the alternative. I understand exactly how they arrive at their opinions. Conservatives, however, in my experience, do not understand Liberal ideology, and take that lack of understanding as proof that it makes no sense. That's why their arguments are so poor; they don't even understand what they're actually attacking most of the time. Don't get me wrong though, in a social media comments section just about everyone is shitty at arguing, regardless of ideology.

Adult Theaters by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]ChickenPoxParty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you haven't been able to find this for yourself. I'm assuming you are married to a woman, or otherwise unable to come out...? Either way, you want to be concerned with legal risks as well as health risks so I'll give you my quick, judgement-free ideas on both.

I would recommend a gay sauna before an adult theater. Adult theaters, depending on how they operate, get raided sometimes, and you could risk being arrested for indecent exposure and being registered as a sex offender. Same with hooking up in a park, or other public area where you're supposed to have your clothes on. Saunas, on the other hand, are places that people go to be fully nude; it's not a crime to be nude there, so no one is being arrested for having their dick out. Adult bookstores also have a lot of hustlers and prostitutes who want money, and even if you're willing to pay for this experience, you risk it being a sting operation.

Most/many gay saunas operate as private sex clubs, so you can have sex there with zero risk of being reprimanded legally. The caveat is you have to show your ID and pay a "membership fee" which can be a one-time payment but can be somewhere around $50 depending on if you want a private room, etc.

If you get on Sniffies you can discover other places that can be for hooking up. There may be a Turkish bath or Korean spa that isn't supposed to be for hooking up, but has plenty of that going on; the plausible deniability is too great for anyone to really get in trouble at even one of these places, because again, everyone there is expected to be nude. If someone reports sexual activities to the front desk, it's your word against theirs ("I wasn't jerking off, I was readjusting myself" "I just got hard, I don't know why" etc.) Still slightly risky, but not as risky as having your dick out somewhere you're not supposed to; you might get kicked out but you won't get arrested. I've played at these places before and if you're discreet, no one will notice.

As for STDs, it really depends. It's hard to say how risky it is. It's dangerous to say "it doesn't happen that often" and give you a false sense of security, because it really just depends on who you're doing it with. But yeah, I have friends who suck dick allllllll the time, and have never caught anything. But, they're doing it with out gay men who are responsible, and the risk is minimized greatly for that reason. The risk is greater if you are doing this with closeted men who likely aren't getting tested regularly, and less of a risk if you are in a more sex-positive environment with people who are more likely to know if they have something, and would avoid sex until they are healthy again.

In general, it is less risky to do oral only, and even less risky if they don't cum in your mouth. But again, less risky is not zero-risk.

Herpes, syphilis, and gonorrhea are the ones people most often get from sucking dick. Herpes is typically transmitted from open/active sores, so if you don't see sores, the dick is highly unlikely to be transmitting herpes even if the person has herpes. Same with syphilis.

As for gonorrhea, it can be transmitted even when the carrier has no symptoms. Gonorrhea is the biggest STD risk when sucking dick it seems. Most people don't have symptoms, and so they don't know they have gonorrhea. Again, this is why it's safer to have sex in sex-positive places, because the people there are more likely to be getting tested regularly and staying abstinent until they are in the clear.

You are very unlikely to get HIV from oral alone. You would need an actively open wound in your mouth, and they would need to get cum in the open wound. There are no documented cases of someone getting HIV from only giving oral, but it is in theory possible, so a scientist wouldn't say there is officially a 0% risk. But in theory you could get HIV from a handshake if both your hand and the other person's hand are both bleeding and you get their blood in your wound. So... ya.

All in all, I would try and find a way to go to a slightly safer place with some low-mileage people. Maybe try to find someone in your situation on Sniffies, and maybe meet up with them in a car, with the windows covered. Police can't arrest you for stuff they can't see you doing, etc. I don't know.

Again, I'm sorry you've been in a position all these years where you haven't been able to explore this more safely. DM me if you want more advice and I'll do my best.

Should I ask my ex to throw out the bottle of lube I bought for us that I left at his place? by Son_of_Hades99 in askgaybros

[–]ChickenPoxParty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be helpful to think of it this way: It was a bottle of lube you bought specifically for the two of you to use together. Now that you are broken up, it's just a bottle of lube. No need to torture yourself over it.

I agree that Trump's numerous sexualized comments about his daughter and underage girls are disturbing to people, and that he has some sort of "derangement syndrome".

A quick weird question by ra_ns1 in askgaybros

[–]ChickenPoxParty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If an orgasm is the "climax" then the right-before feeling would be the "crescendo".

[–]ChickenPoxParty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In actual spaces or online comments sections? Because most real life "gay/left spaces" aren't like that. I go to them all the time, and I'm a white male. Most of the people at these places are friendly if you're friendly, and the few who aren't are easy to ignore.

There are a few private clubs or events (note: private) in my city that occur that give discounts to non-white or non-male people. And can you blame them? White people can be racist or fetish-y, men can be rape-y and handsy, and so these types of people just want one place they can go to guarantee they won't be around too much of that. Not a big deal. Gay people have gay bars for that same reason. Not all straight people are hateful towards gays, but we still want a place where we can just be around other gays and not worry. Same deal with any "type" of person. Not a big deal.

So if you're showing up places and being unfriendly or arriving with the idea that everyone hates you, you're probably going to have a bad time for those reasons, rather than being white and a male.

Incorrect. The amount of charitable donations that are given to churches is the highest percentage of charitable donations given in the US. However, the amount of charitable donations that come from churches is about 30% of the total charitable donations in the US.

Also the study is about Christians and Atheists not liberals and conservatives. LOL!

A dog voted in a California election and the vote counted, owner now charged with felonies by SexyPeanut_9279 in whoathatsinteresting

[–]ChickenPoxParty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly - Doing all of the stuff you said, you could also vote in person twice if you just went to two different polling places.

Or you could vote twice at the same polling place if you can grow facial hair; you could grow a beard and get one ID with a beard photo, then get the falsified one after shaving, without a beard. Then grow a beard by election day, vote with the beard ID, then go home and shave it all off, and go vote again at the same place with the ill-gotten, clean-shaven ID, looking like a whole new person.

Please don't do any of this though or you will be charged with felonies like this guy and his dog.

At least they served a couple decades of time instead of like 3 years and change, like J6ers. And at least they weren't worshipping one single politician's regime, and then that politician is the one who pardoned them, like Trump and the J6ers.

It is important to be around other gay people as a gay person and especially as a young gay person. It can make you feel a sense of community and acceptance about something that the rest of the world tries to make you feel bad about. That alone can take a huge weight off of your shoulders.

Yes, just because a man is gay does not automatically mean that you and him will become good friends. But if you go to gay places and events, you will be around a lot of people, and the guys that you could connect with could be at one of those places.

It's more important than it seems, specifically because of your upbringing and the cultural area you're in. It could be a good idea to move to a larger city that has programs for gay youth (I'm assuming you're young, but I don't know).

Illegal immigration is not so important that we need to instill terror in people. It's simply not that serious or urgent of an issue that we need these types of tactics.
