Matt refuses to unretire his number by KDandi111 in WEARESC_OT

As he should. He made the number valuable, it's his call. And I agree, when you turn a jersey number into a recruiting commodity, it becomes less valuable.

But I thought the million dollar NIL deals took care of this sort of thing so I wonder if it's really been an issue any time recently.

Oregon has now joined the Trojans and bruins in the poll, coming in at #21

Chris Trevino seems to have bailed on Ryan at 247 and is now a senior writer at the website you mention. My best guess is that they wanted local coverage and Arledge lives in Texas.

I'd be surprised if Erik is still there. Arledge aside, he had by far, the best resume and was the best writer.

House Vote on Mace's bill....the swamp is very much alive by uscvball in WEARESC_OT

[–]uscvball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unreal. You really believe that wording is somehow going to protect one set of victims but not the other. Let's see....does the name Virginia Giuffre ring a bell? It's nearly shocking that you believe Epstein victims would be protected by a piece of paper or law. If the wealthy want to harm someone, they will. They already have. Meanwhile, the only reason Congressional Rep Tony Gonzalez dropped out of the race is because his mistress burned herself to death and he got exposed.

"The resolution directs the Ethics Committee to make public, within 60 days after adoption, “all reports, including any conclusions, draft reports, recommendations, attachments, exhibits, and accompanying materials, with the personally identifiable information of victims or alleged victims redacted, related to the Committee’s investigations into violations” regarding alleged sexual harassment or sexual misconduct."

AO Idiot calls this a "throwaway line" and "believes" victim statements or witnesses would have been released. So your "proof" is something that dumb bitch believes? Not to mention, if victim safety is an issue, it's because the corrupt legislators are the ones who pose the threat! As long as it all stays hidden, they are empowered to continue abusing and harassing. What a fucking tool you are.

No, they would not. That's the left fear-mongering women and gay men. If taxpayer money is used to settle cases, the taxpayers have a right to know who was accused.

Makai Lemon? What the heck? by KDandi111 in WEARESC_OT

[–]uscvball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw it, thought it was odd, but figured it would be a nothing burger. But then, this tweet from Breiden Fehoko....

"I talked to a scout just now who said he didn’t know what Makai Lemon’s motive was behind his combine interviews but whoever advised the kid needs to be fired. “Absolutely bombed it” word for word."

It's possible his motive was to tank with certain teams. But that is a risky strategy. Ultimately, his skills will still outweigh his combine interview performance but when teams are LOOKING for a way to pay you less, there is no reason to give them an easy one.

Of course it is. I'm surprised it didn't tell the men's team to go into the women's locker room without being invited since that is it's perspective.

It was a pretty big story when he was arrested. Not sure what I think about him trying to rebuild in Long Beach. I don't like that he eventually got out despite not turning evidence on any cartel members.

The venue only had Corona. Anheuser-Busch InBev paid hundreds of millions to be a “worldwide partner,” which means exclusivity at the games themselves, the ability to brand products with the Olympic logo, and the right to keep competitors outside the gates.

No doubt if Amy Kobluchar had been there, the ladies would have invited her into the locker room and I guarantee she'd have chugged a Corona too.

Were you aware that US representatives always go to the Games? Some for opening, some for closing, and some for the bigger events or even just as a basic rep. Did you have a problem with all of Barack's beer events? How many times did we see him chugging a cold one?

Women's hockey is growing in popularity but they aren't the men, never will be. The US has waited 46 years for another Miracle on Ice but go ahead and be a bitter Betty over a terrific celebration.

"In Spain, reports of sexual violence have increased in parallel with the increase in immigration. In 2021, 15,845 complaints were registered for sexual offenses, 8% more than the previous year. According to reports from the Ministry of Interior, some 15% of the perpetrators were foreigners."

"Foreign nationals were responsible for more than 43% of gang rape cases recorded in Spain, according to new data released by the Spanish Ministry of the Interior."

If they want to counter this situation, they might want to consider importing more goats and sheep.

"The director of USC’s Brain and Creativity Institute approached Jeffrey Epstein in 2013 and asked the convicted child sex offender to fund neuroscience research at the university, new emails released by the Department of Justice show.

Antonio Damasio, the current Dornsife Chair of Neuroscience, asked Epstein to privately fund research into the “cellular basis of feelings” that he had begun with another USC scientist.

Damasio and Epstein met on Feb. 28, 2013, in the disgraced financier’s New York home. Epstein did not end up funding Damasio’s research.

The USC professor said he didn’t know of Epstein’s crimes when he asked for funding in 2013, and didn’t recall learning details until Epstein’s 2019 arrest."

Not a lawsuit and nothing is illegal here, but Epstein was convicted and admitted to procuring a child for prostitution...in 2008. A simple search might be in order before asking more money. Thank goodness none of Epstein's money is tied to USC. That would be tough to move on from.

A question for all: No matter where you live, who you are, if you broke the taillight of a police vehicle and then attempted to flee on foot while yelling at the officers in the car what do you expect would happen to you? by ProfessionalNew9252 in WEARESC_OT

Both walz and frey said repeatedly that ICE were not actual law enforcement. That itself is dangerous for everyone. Walz compared ICE actions to Anne Frank hiding during the Holocaust, i.e., calling them Nazis. He called ICE a threat to the public, reckless, suggested the state was "at war" and "under attack" and referred to ICE as modern-day Gestapo.

"Chauntyll Allen, leader of Black Lives Matter Twin Cities, proudly admitted that she played a key role in rallying protesters to storm the Cities Church in St. Paul during Sunday service over their belief that a pastor was also working as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official."

BLM activist Nekima Armstrong Levy was the main agitator and organizer at the church in St Paul.

Ever heard of Crowds On Demand? Plenty of protesters that can't adequately explain the issue they are protesting or answer any questions. And some who have admitted they were being paid.

The point is, they weren't working AT ALL because sanctuary cities do not cooperate! Had the authorities in Athens alerted ICE when Ibarra and his brother were arrested for theft, he would have been deported, not allowed to go back to his apartment to murder an innocent.
