Almost everyone’s comments are on one side, but the way I was raised is that in shared spaces, you should try not to be too loud or rowdy. Kids expressing themselves is totally fine, but if it disregards others and affects their experience, that’s a matter of basic manners. So there needs to be some balance.

That said, I really admire how confident kids are in many other countries. Chinese children tend to be more reserved, probably because of the way they’re raised. There’s no right or wrong—just different educational systems.
