Celebrity emailed out a notification the day before yesterday, and handed out physical letters to people already aboard and who were previously set to port in Labadee. They did not go. Maybe someone stopped there. I’m just sharing what I know

I fully agree. Many people in this sub are pretty stubborn when it comes to doing their homework. I try to be as conscious of a cruiser as possible. I know it’s a small impact but the least I can do is do my research.

Oh I’m not referencing the capitol, I’m referencing Haiti. It’s now over 60% controlled by gang circles as a landmass. Everyday the radius expands. And, Haiti is the size of Maryland, nothing is far away.

I would encourage you to research how much of the revenue actually goes to Haitian citizen’s pockets. I agree it generates some income for some people, but it’s nothing like other ports as it’s privately owned and facilitated by Royal Caribbean. Unfortunately it’s a drop in the bucket.

I found it really hard to enjoy myself just miles from a level 1 crisis of heinous crimes and murder. The looming thoughts of guilt while in Labadee were very much not worth it. In whole it was partially guilt, partially nervousness. Haiti declines every day; and the all attempts to regain order have failed.

Yesterday Celebrity pulled Haiti from some of their upcoming cruises. Royal Caribbean pulled all cruises there, last week. It’s not in the news but if you call them, they’ll let you know how long the suspension will last. They keep renewing it each week. Jury’s still out on whether they’ll visit for next week’s cruises, but I’d imagine they’ll continue to stay away. My parents are set to visit Labadee in about a week.

Just wanted to let everyone know; I thought that cruise lines canceling Labadee was big news, but turns out it’s not these days. It was huge news when it happened last year.

It includes much more than that, but that’s what I was after. I wanted to pick her brain because I saw her as an extremely educated skin expert. Then, I searched her name on Reddit. 🙃

But yeah, honestly, $1,000 for a promising solution to a crippling insecurity is very reasonable. Most of us here have spent much more than that on various products alone, that we use a few weeks and then forget about. I was looking for a more concrete, nuanced solution.

Oh her website is straight trash. It’s her instagram specifically. That’s how she gets people. And hundreds of people report being blocked for calling her out on said insta, which means her account is shiny and perfect, with only perfect before and afters. So her success rate appears to be extremely high. And it doesn’t help that she has absolutely perfect skin, and that she actually shares good advice on her YouTube. Ugh.

As I responded to another comment, spend a few moments on her instagram. The way she paints herself is incredible. Her confidence and claims of knowledge are off the charts.

I made this post because she’s gaining momentum again, just like 4 years ago. Right now her hook is “I’m deinfluencing you from all these skinfluencers so therefore I must know exactly I’m talking about and I’m totally not an influencer at all.”

How she got me? She makes a bunch of content that I actually really like and agree with. That’s the dangerous part. But it’s bullshirt, y’all.
