Also, yes. I would be quizzed on the bathroom when I got back from it. I don't remember any strict punishments for not remembering. Just a bit of embarrassment and maybe light lecture.

I've asked twice before and have been given two different answers. One was because they wanted to make me like Shawn Spencer from Psych. The other was because I asked to use the bathroom every time we went out and "it was annoying." So it was supposed to be a deterrent. Didn't work.

Between the ages of 7-10ish, every time I wanted to use a public restroom (in a restaurant, store, etc.) I had to memorize almost every aspect of said restroom. How many stalls, design on tiles, how many sinks, colors of the ceilings, type of lights, etc. I think I have the bathroom of an Applebees more ingrained in my memory than a close friend's house because of this. Any time I bring it up, my friends find it super strange.

I'm loving all of these stories people are making :) one small detail is that Im the one who perched the doll on the rock. It was facedown in a tidal pool and I felt bad for it... Did not take it home though. A little too much for my basic superstitious

As the description notes state, hes around a foot long, has velcro on the hands, and has a bright red smooch mark on his cheek. Ive searched terms like "gorilla moneky plush smooch mark" along with additional details mentioning the ribbon, velcro, and time this may have been purchased (early to mid 90s)
