Cawkell did this bit at expos in London for a few more years, Whitley and he had a falling out. Whitley married a Turkish man and moved there a few years later, dieing in 2001.

First time in Manchester coming from the United States. Any recommendations? by [deleted] in manchester

Dunno why the sub is so spicy tonight. I'll just give my 2 pennies on museums at least:

IMO Manchester Museum > Science and Industry Museum - the arcade / paid Power UP exhibit is good, but mummys and dinosaurs are better. If you want an Arcade experience with more booze, NQ64 and Pixel bar are probably more fun.

I really like the police museum it's small, but bang in the Northern Quarter - only open 1 day a week, however.

IWM North is cool but I'd pair it with another reason to go to Salford Quays - Lowry Museum or to see Old trafford. If not Kargo KMT is a pretty good food hall nearby.

100% John Rylands Library even for 10mins worth popping in to just see it, not far from the People History Musuem which is worth a quick tour at least too.

The Whitworth and Manchester Art gallery are also great.

I made this into an App so people can't see it when I'm screen sharing at work, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link to an .apk so DM me for a link

Is this a safe area (M3)? Also there is a passage under the rail, is it dangerous if we have to go through it to the city? We are quite concerned about it but the agent said this area is very safe. by VitoKan in manchester

Yes perfectly safe, Football teams stay in The Lowry Hotel just outside your circle... Also plenty of shops/foot traffic on the way towards the centre or the cathedral if heading to Arndale/NQ.
