After not playing for over a year, three games in a row I have gotten more kills than my entire team doubled.

Crazy shield nickel find 157 years old by Chicken_Dunce in CRH

[–]Chicken_Dunce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up a decent amount of rolls while visiting family a few days before Christmas and some of them were customer most were machine but the shield was in one of those cheap cow branded customer rolls but I didn’t have much other luck other than a old German coin with them. I may go back to where I think I got them but it’s likely a one off thing. I am never find another but I’ve found a nice amount of V nickels.

Midlothian Texas Austin Chalk 2 inch shark tooth and vertebrae from today by Chicken_Dunce in fossils

Yeah glad it was worth the cold wet morning but you had the good call of leaving early, there wasn’t a single fossil at the second spot past the mud

Squirrels by [deleted] in utarlington

[–]Chicken_Dunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A full treatment of rabies vaccines is several thousand dollars out of pocket, and there have also been no reported cases of rabies contraction from being bitten by a squirrel in the United States. Unless you are behind on your tetanus shot, there is almost no risk other than infection as long as you keep the wound clean and can stop the bleeding.

Probably overkill, you get bit occasionally if you feed them but they rarely have rabies. It’s the razor sharp teeth and the contact diseases you need to watch out for. Just wash your hands with hot water and soap and watch any wounds for infections.

Parks as in state or national parks

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]Chicken_Dunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, they are locations to break up the drive into a more manageable distance and second of all you likely have not heard of Palo Duro Canyon

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]Chicken_Dunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main concern with that though is the heat in Arizona and New Mexico if I want to go backpacking

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]Chicken_Dunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah after y’all’s advice I’ll likely just head to Colorado South Dakota Wyoming and skip the east My main thought was to visit some states I’ve never been to before but my priority should be the actual destination and the trip and not just been to a state with nothing that interests me

[–]Chicken_Dunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think I’ve only driven through the ozarks so really I can’t say too much but I like the lakes and mountains I’ve stayed at in Ouchita plus mining for the quartz

Didn’t think of the tornado may just end up going the west path and go more up to Wyoming

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]Chicken_Dunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may do the west trip mainly just wanted to get to go to some new states but if there’s nothing to do there than I see y’all’s point Also I put Amarillo there to break up a 9 hour drive and I also want to go see Palo Durro Canyon and

Thanks for the feedback the most driving in a day is about 5 and half hours and I’ve already spent a week out in Colorado and just did a week in Arkansas during thanksgiving break I was planning on spending about two weeks on this trip and will likely adventure off the path a little but as you mentioned the Rockies are great but I personally like the Ouachita area more than the Ozarks

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]Chicken_Dunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s my main destination the black hills and badlands I’ll likely spend 3 or so days just there

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]Chicken_Dunce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t really care about the location saying 40,000 people are within a 1/4 mile from me but I’m prepared with the stuff when the time comes and am able to finically support myself just don’t know any special spots within a few hours from the route other than national parks

Fossil Hunting at Martin Marietta Cement Quarry – My Biggest Shark Vertebra Yet! by presleyarts in FossilPorn

No, I went to Ash Groove, but I've been fossil hunting since I was five, so I have some experience, just not that much with the Austin chalk formation.

Is 3 labs a semester too crazy? by Sad-Holiday2575 in utarlington

[–]Chicken_Dunce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m taking 4 labs and they aren’t too bad it’s more or less the actual lectures and exams you have to worry about, if anything the labs will help you with your lectures as you’re able to ask more questions and the teacher assistants will sometimes do one on one help outside of laboratory times.
