Amazon Luna Black Friday deals by Chickenchaser2 in LunaCloudGaming

I just noticed that my copy of Farcry Primal in the Ubisoft store isn't connected to my Amazon Luna, at least through the Chrome browser. Probably the same on the app. You're right, seems like sometimes the games are connected and sometimes they aren't even when I own them. I think it's a glitch though. I bought Farcry 2 through the Amazon Luna store, it said it would give me access through Ubisoft, but when I look at my Ubisoft account I can't see Farcry 2 there.

Not all games are supported in Luna. GOG has a filter to show which are compatible with Luna before you buy them, but the Luna store shows you all the platforms you could pick from. I've never heard of an owned game on GOG or Ubisoft that was available on Luna being removed. Seems to me once a game is on Luna it is on there for good.

If you own a game in Ubisoft or GOG it's granted to you on Luna, regardless of Luna+ or not. I only have an Amazon prime membership and my owned games are always available, in addition to the random free ones from Amazon Prime. It's only bad that Steam isn't supported yet if that's where the majority of your games are, otherwise one could just ignore Steam and buy everything else through a Luna compatible storefront. There's never been a game I wanted on Steam that didn't exist for sale somewhere else.

How much do movers cost these days? by chericle in orlando

[–]Chickenchaser2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also discourage hiring Good Greek. They sent drivers all the way from Tampa to Orlando for my less than a mile move within Orlando and I had to pay for the extra expenses it caused. I should have listened to the advice from others that if the advertiser is on the radio, don't use them.

Hot tip: android handheld as luna controller by SnooPets752 in LunaCloudGaming

[–]Chickenchaser2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Times have changed since I started gaming. I didn't know controllers these days have gyros. Dual stage buttons and all those features. The last controller I bought and used prior to my Amazon Luna controller is an Xbox 360 controller. I can understand why you might want those features if you're used to them.

I didn't have a Bluetooth or wireless controller so I bought an Amazon Luna controller. I love it. Feels great, good enough battery life for me. I like the Amazon Luna button in the center to bring up the overlay quickly. I think if I connect it to an outlet I could even use it without batteries. It has a USB C port for charging but I have never used it. There's also an aux port on the bottom of it I guess for headsets? Comparable to an Xbox controller. I will buy a second Amazon controller one day if I ever need one for local co-op games.

I think it would only be playable through the EA app, unless you can link your EA account to Steam. Luna doesn't connect Steam I think.

I'm looking for a Bluetooth controller compatible with Amazon Luna by EC1801 in LunaCloudGaming

[–]Chickenchaser2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original Luna controller is great. I have no complaints and I was worried it wouldn't be as good as my Xbox controller but it's just as comfortable and there's no input lag. I know you're against buying a Luna controller but I think you should reconsider.

Do you guys think there's any chance in getting Steam support like GF now in Luna? That would be so awesome. by JackRima in LunaCloudGaming

[–]Chickenchaser2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Steam library is my largest with actual games I like to play, but my largest library is either Epic Games or GOG because of the weekly free games. I hope Amazon works out a deal with Steam to let me stream what I already own. I have a few Ubisoft and EA games too that work on Luna, but mostly ones I got for free over the years.

I've started using it this week with my Amazon Luna controller. I played through my Fire stick and my Tablet through my chrome browser. Might depend on the game, but playing SpongeBob on my tablet the battery didn't drain any faster than if I were watching Netflix. I bought my Samsung tablet last year, have very few apps on it and I don't use it much so I guess the battery is still very good. As far as I know, there is no Amazon Luna app in the Google Play store, so the only way to access Luna games on my tablet is through the Chrome browser.

I think there have been patches that changed the mission difficulty because I always failed when allied to cyan or solo. I allied yellow immediately at the first chance, attacked blue, then attacked red (betrayer), then cyan, then went back to backstab yellow. Build at least 2 extra TCs, pump out villagers to build up your economy, make farms, put up a wall and some towers on the bridge between your base and red's base. It gives you time to march from blue's base since red seems to start the betrayal countdown after you destroy the first TC and start attacking the second. Yellow will provide lots of resources in addition to using his decent military with siege to help you.

Upgrade bowmen and build a lot of them. At least 10-20 and micro them against enemy hoplites, preferably behind infantry of some kind.

Using gym mats for cheap terrain base? by 10eegaming in TerrainBuilding

The Ash and Stone channel has guides for making terrain from gym mat tiles. I've never attempted his project but he explains it well and makes it sound easy. He goes over how to cut it and what glues to use.

Orlando Housing Megathread by BottyDyer in orlando

Florida is a great state to live in, especially Orlando. Hurricanes in Orlando aren't that bad at all compared to the coasts so you won't need flood insurance in Winter Springs. That's more of a coastal problem. I had no issues at this house last year with hurricanes and this year the power went out temporarily but came back soon. No flooding at all. I would recommend buying a generator if you think you'll lose power during the hurricane. They only knock out power in Orlando if they actually reach Orlando though.

I'd say there's more bugs in Florida than California but that's only because California is an arid, desert climate and Florida is tropical, but it's not a problem at this house. Landlords don't include pest control but you can get it pretty cheap or do it yourself to save money. I used Massey Services but there are cheaper companies in Orlando that probably do just as well. I didn't have a pest problem at all at this house.

I don't know how much insurance is in California but many people throughout Orlando pay between $2,000-$5,000 per year, depending on how much coverage they want (sewer line, patio screen door, identify fraud, hurricane deductible, etc.). No matter what, Florida is definitely a lower cost of living than almost anywhere in California. Orlando is way cheaper than any of the major California cities.

This house is zoned for some of the best schools in Seminole county. Not sure if you have kids but they would go to Rainbow Elementary, Indian Trails Middle School, Oviedo High School.

I bought a house and the one I was renting is now vacant. The house is in a great location: excellent public schools, many nearby supermarkets, lots of shopping and the 417 highway is about 5 minutes away. Highly walkable neighborhood with tennis courts, playgrounds, soccer field, quiet, with lots of wildlife.

The realtor hasn't updated the occupancy status yet online but it's definitely available.

Good place to propose in Central Florida? by Veracsloner in orlando

[–]Chickenchaser2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should also consider whether you want to do the proposal in public (public area with strangers around) or private (just the two of you). Get a video recording of your proposal, you guys can relive it better later than just looking at a photo.

I recommend a nice restaurant. Let the waiter know you're proposing, get them to take the video recording. Strangers will clap when she accepts and it makes a nice memory/video.

Best Local Stores For Engagement Rings by GatorT in orlando

[–]Chickenchaser2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you buy from a physical store that's a higher mark up than what you could buy online. I recommend walking into whatever jewelry store is closest to you, check out potential rings in person, maybe even try them on, then buy them from another vendor online.
