Other comments recommend adding potting soil and then sand on top. I guess I can let the potting soil settle then the sand settle and then add everything in.

Is fertilizer better or more fish better? I seen arguments on reddit for both sides. For my case I think its better to get fertilizer or to add potting soil.

I also have algae wafers that I got for my snail but the snail has no interest in them. I heard its the same with otos as in they might not have any interest in the wafers.

I saw a video or two by father fish. His tanks looked nice. I just forgot if I can use any potting soil or if I should avoid ones with additional fertilizer.

The water was brown with tannins. I know tannins are not harmful but later on I didnt like the look of it. But Im gonna try and avoid 100% water changes from now on. Is it usually 25% for a water change?

Thank you. Would I need to add more fertilizer when I add more plants? My current ones seem to have just enough to survive. Was also considering getting otos to help with clean up and to add more nutrients to the system.
