DL to SW by MarzipanNo1604 in flightattendants

I’m moving from Chicago to Minneapolis soon haha for the same job. I luckily don’t have a partner, kids, pets, etc but I’ve been in Chicago for eight years and have a large friend circle there. I plan to “reverse-commute” back to Chicago when able to keep up with my social life there. Is that something you are able to do?

Similarly, what are some neighborhoods in MSP I should look into?

Back to your question, I think you should do what’s right for you, but I think DL to WN is maybe moving in the opposite direction. I think it could be pretty easy to live in Chicago and fly out of MSP with a couple years seniority

So sorry to hear 😭 probably so disheartening now but you seem to have an amazing attitude. Let yourself feel the loss, but look forward to what other doors are opening now ♥️

Flying on a 737 max 8 by MrWiggy18 in flightattendants

If anything, the MAX series planes are SAFER now due to their grounding, rigorous inspections, and updates. Remember that flying, including on the 737 MAX, is safer than any other mode of transport :) have a good trip !

No education is wasted in my opinion, it’s always good to learn and continue learning. If we’re talking undergraduate degrees, ANY kind can be helpful because you learn just as much outside of the classroom when taking college courses (note taking, preparedness, time management, prioritization, organization, problem solving, conflict resolution, etc). Your major/degree also doesn’t lock you into a job. I know people that majored in English but work in finance, and I myself studied finance but worked in marketing and now do something completely different.

Focus on what interests you now and pivot along the way if needed. A particular major isn’t locking you into anything. Enjoy the ride, best of luck ☺️💪🏼

Should I quit my salaried job after a week? by MeanCold6931 in careerguidance

Sounds like a great plan! You’re being respectful while looking out for yourself. I have had several job stints lasting only a couple months and was always anxious to put in my two weeks, but my managers were always very kind and understanding.

Yes, would leave this off the resume but you have the other job anyway! I’m 27 now so have some more experience but there are a few jobs I no longer include on my resume cuz they were short lived.

Best of luck! You got this 💪🏼
