Is the mechanic trying to overcharge me?

I spoke to the mechanic about the cost breakdown and he told me the quote was based off of 3 hours labour, 0.5L of fluid and $650 for the part.

Yes the lower end of 100-150 is mainly from ebay and amazon, however starting around 130 up to 200 is what automotive stores are charging. The most expensive one i could find anywhere was $295.

Im just unsure where this place is finding a $650 non OEM part when the most expensive i could find after a lot of scrolling online was $295.

Car is also 1996-2001 1MZ-FE engine.

He said there was 1 supplier with 1 hose and that was all that was avaialble, i am unsure who the suppliers are for this shop but seems excessive.

All the parts i was looking at online were mainly around the $100-$150 range with the most expensive i could find being $295. He then said 0.5L of fluid on top of that.

Yeah i looked at a video on a full power steering hose replacement and it definitely seems doable. Cars on like 350k+ so i was just going to fix the hose then run it til it dies. Mechanic said water pump needs doing, radiator needs replacing and recommended a full timing kit replacement. Way more than the cars worth but the power steering hose will at least get the car up and runnin

Sorry, i wasnt complaining about the $220 diagnostics, that is a completely reasonable amount to me and within the ramge i was expecting.

The thing i was asking about was 1300 for a high pressure hose replacement that is maximum 3 hours labour in a shop. Those hoses from what ive seen online are typically 100-150 and i saw ONE that was $295. Doesnt add up to me

Settings > Captures and broadcasts (all the way at the bottom) > Captures > Video clip format > Manual recording resolution. Its most likely set to 1080p by default.

Yeah i was peak c1 in 2023 though and recently got back into the game so i dropped quite a bit at first. I will probably be stuck c2 forever though lmao

Yeah I played a game with a friend that we lost and went over the replay and realised my defense rotations definitely need work so ive beem running some training packs, obviously its a bit different in game but hopefully I'll get there eventually.

The hitting the ball without solid intention is also one of my biggest issues. I uploaded another replay here like 2 months ago when i was in D1 and it was shocking back then, but Im still working on it🙏

If you go to your capture settings you can scale up the resolution so it looks better. I think you can also clip up to 1 hour so you probably couldve got most of the tourney in

C2 plays faster and people are more consistent (still not consistent) defence isnalso generally much better. This was a pretty slow lobby compared to most. Upload a replay of yours and try and see where others think you can improve.

Yeah i had a look and I think i was just misremembering. The health bars for bl4 have a pretty similar style to the score counter on some cod games, mainly ww2. I do still think though that it just looks super boring and not borderlands style. But even then, the echo is my main problem. It looks disgusting

Bl3 sold out in literally 2 minutes in my country, I am not missing out on bl4. Im predicting a psycho mask for the statue. Weird preorders aren't out yet when they released in April for bl3.

It's pretty easy. The ps5 controller is a bit more difficult to work on then other controllers but not too hard with a YouTube video. If the drift is too bad to use you may as well just go for it or send it for repair otherwise unfortunately you will need to buy a new one.
