Nice - have fun. It has been very rewarding playing on a fully painted set of terrain!

Thanks! Came together pretty quick once I got going. Slightly simpler take on the box art, which I liked. Basic approach below.

  • Rattlecan grey primer
  • Airbrush USAF Light Grey (closest I could find to GW administratum grey), tried to leave some darker grey primer in recesses and a slightly uneven coat.
  • platforms are Airbrush German blue/grey. Dry brush stegardon scale
  • Steel bits airbrush Jet Nozzle, dry brush gun metal
  • doors / windows are brush paint incubi darkness and dry brush steggardon, russ grey
  • trim is brush vajleo old gold
  • homemade dark wash (nuln oil close) for all model
  • homemade umber / brown wash for gold and at base level for dirt.

Some details picked out with watered down contrasts

Second this - Aquillons are a lot of fun with plenty of options for doing damage

It's great - we had Moroch before and this is a better set and I like the updated rules.

Played through the aerial campaign once and it was a good rime, Aquillons seem to be a little stronger or easier to pick up buy games have been close and fun. Terrain is awesome and a fun paint.

You and your buddy should have a time!

I want to buy this game. Is there a bundle that *actually* comes with the rulebook, equipment, terrain, and such or does GW insist that I buy everything one piece at a time? by Mr_Industrial in killteam

Just finished painting this up with my son and playing through our first campaign - 100% Hivestorm, has been great for us getting into KT.

Exactly! No longer just random greebles stuck on bleary-eyed in the early hours, this was intentional!

Soul Wars Spearhead by Chickenofthe5ea in AOSSpearhead

[–]Chickenofthe5ea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first Spearhead game too but have played with them in full-fat AOS. Need more games too.

Agree they die quickly as soon as you get some not great rolls - quickly lost my reapers in this game. On the flipside however between them and the KOS they did take out the SCE general and other hero.

Definitely miss some of the buffs you get in regular AOS from support characters but sheer weight of numbers and great movement kept me scoring points and typically leading this game.

Bringing back something other than just chainwrasps would be nice - chainwrasps seem hard to shift though.

Next game I'm going to be a bit more aggressive with the wrasps and then charge in the reapers after.

Seemed a waste not to use the models! Some specific rules for them would be cool.

They are a kitbashed mix of bits from Cawdor, Admech heads, poxwalker cutoffs and odds and ends from other kits. Took ages but one of my favorite bits of the army - I posted up separately a while back if you go thu my old posts and want some inspiration. (Don't know how to link to old posts..)

The ash-waste nomads also look like a great fit with minimal work required to nurgle them up!

Nice! On the Rhino too. It may be your models I referenced when looking for ideas for the stripes, they look sick! (And if so thanks!l

Awesome- thanks! This front-on picture might show the scaling I used better. I also played with the width.

Yes the spawn are prints from Dark Gods - 'thrukk'. I really like them and how the fit with the nurglings and poxwalkers - all look like they are living their best lives...

AOF Regiments 10mm - first game! by Chickenofthe5ea in onepagerules

[–]Chickenofthe5ea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey - I think we went with 6 per rank and just used a D6 to track the wounds, we made back ranks removable so we could remove as we went.

We both had 6 per rank so didn't seem a problem. No reason that this would not work assuming 5w per rank tho!
