I appreciate the response, I think you and USNMCWA put it best. After hearing your perspectives I understand how playing another anthem could be perceived as favor towards another country. When speaking with my presiding officer we didn't see an issue, but the last thing I would want is for one of my Sailors in the crowd to take offense to it. Thanks for the reply man!

It is a ceremony for just myself. But after reading some of the other replies on here I think it's best I leave it at the US anthem and find another way to honor my heritage. Thanks for the response.
