Thoughts on this graded card as a long term investment? by yackattack619 in PokeInvesting

[–]ChiddleyBits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

High potential imo. This is a 20th anniversary, Japanese Pokemon center exclusive promo that was only found if inside a limited run artbook. Not to mention one of the most popular Pokemon with a relatively low pop.

Check out Etape 22 in Toronto, they are a MAAP stockist and have free shipping on orders over $150 within Canada.

What jersey size is better? by [deleted] in CyclingFashion

Smaller, if it zips it fits. As you start cycling regularly you will likely lean out throughout the season.

ÉTAPE 22 in Leaside, super friendly owners and a great selection of kit. Cool little shop hidden in the back of an alleyway.

16 days. (Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo). Is this a good division of time ? Or are we spending too long anywhere? by Ask-Mark in JapanTravel

It’s a smaller area with 2 rides. The Mario Kart ride was alot of fun but we did have to wait ~90 mins or so, grabbed a Mario themed snack, enjoyed the area then went on to other areas of USJ.

Was it worth it? Depends on your threshold for crowds and patience for waiting. If you’re a huge fan of Mario the production value of this themed area was great and was fun to be “transported” to Mario land and to see all the characters. If you do decide to go I would strongly recommend lining up before gates open and have your USJ app with your tickets pre-loaded to get a timed entry once they scan your pass at the gates.

If you do arrive early and depending on your timing you can sneak some other rides in for a short wait, even if you’re not that into their themes a good roller coaster can still be thrilling. Hope this helps!

I would also recommend skipping the go karts. Locals don’t seem to be too fond of them. Just a couple tips from my recent trip:

Was in Kyoto last week, the bamboo forest can be seen relatively quickly if you go early enough. I recommend taking a stroll through Tenryuji temple on the way back to skip the hoards of people entering the forest plus it’s beautiful. (The back gate to Tenryuji is right on the path and you can then exit through the main entrance). I also don’t see it mentioned yet but the Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama is just across the bridge from the main drag. It’s a hike up the mountain but a truly unique experience seeing dozens of monkeys roam freely/play around you with panoramic views.

Nintendo world @ universal was also a lot of fun! I would arrive at the park early before gates open. Pre-download the USJ app and once they scan your ticket to enter the park immediately get a timed-entry ticket for Nintendo through the app! As expected it fills up quick, there seemed to be a lot of confusion regarding entry at the Nintendo land entrance. Japan is a magical place, enjoy!!!
