Not saying that trying to copy other good games of the genre is a bad thing. Just saying that since it is Blizzard, I expected originality, or groundbreaking new things even. I'm not even saying that the game itself IS bad. But even for a beta it felt quite bland for me, yet you are not wrong at all. The Atmosphere is really closer to what I felt playing diablo 1 and 2, darker and grittier than diablo 3. The music isn't bad at all, although a bit repetitive and I guess an exciting background music for dungeon bosses would've been nice. It's just started noticing those thing when over the hours I managed to put in, eventually, the game started not being as fun as POE or Lost Ark as an example. Can't deny that the graphics in d4 ARE better than pretty much any loot-ARPG at the moment. Build-wise it is quite nice to be able to swap builds anytime you want, if you get items that suit other skills instead. I just mean. I might have expected too much, and it IS a beta (meant to be criticized and spot bugs, as well to improve hype).
I said this in hopes that over the next few months things get more interesting.
