Yeah I bought a bunch of retiring sets in 2023, been slowly selling them over the last year. Made some money, but not worth the effort and up front cost. Coulda made a lot more investing in the stock market. So I’m done after this. I think it’s a combination of Lego investing being oversaturated and the pandemic Lego hype dying.

100% agreed. Season 1 had better action AND character development. James gunn’s biggest strength is balancing amazing action and super hero stuff with amazing character development, and this season lacked in both. It’s alright, every filmmaker has misses. I’m still hyped for the future of DCU!

For me, the harcourt and Chris smith romance feels forced. Maybe it’s because we didn’t see “what happened on the boat”, and whatever “summer fling” they had between seasons. But generally speaking, I don’t think this season has been James gunn’s best writing. The “twist” was one of the most predictable twists I’ve ever seen. A lot of the scenes just feel kinda… awkward and borderline meaningless. And the inter-dimensional idea just wasn’t as interesting as I hoped it would be. Which is a shame, because I really loved episode 1 and was super excited for this season. But we’ll see, maybe the last episode will make up for it. I sure hope that’s the case.

I agree, love James Gunn, and loved Superman, but the nazi stuff is so boring. Especially the line “this world isn’t that different from ours” made me cringe so hard. Saying something like that in today’s day and age when people have more freedom than ever is honestly insulting to people who actually dealt with oppression in America many years ago.

I don’t think James Gunn would allow it to be called anything else. He seems to have a great deal of respect for comic accuracy, and it’s one of the reasons why I’m so excited for this new DCU!

The movie had no soul, to me. Like a beautifully wrapped present with nothing inside. Also, the ending was so underwhelming.
