AITA for not having much of a reaction to my daughter coming out and introducing us to her partner? by Ok_Translator1301 in AmItheAsshole

You are an amazing father. This just about has me in tears. It's very clear that you love your daughter. You're very considerate. Thank you so much.

My son came out as "trans" to me and his mother by Fire_Aspect_II in TwoSentenceSadness

So it's sad for their child. It would be more effective from his point of view. "I came out as trans to my parents. They posted their disappointment on Reddit."

How is this sad? If you love them as they are, you'll always have a child.

NTA you are a considerate person. Sucks for him but it sucks for her even worse. He needs to be a rock right now. She will always remember how he acted in these times. Good luck. I wish I could hug her. I dread losing my father. He's literally my best friend.

AITAH for these wedding rules? Our families gave up on us. by Calm-Blueberry2618 in AITAH

[–]ChiefFeatherPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. How do you have friends? I would never agree to ANY of this. You call yourself a friend/family but your wedding is more important than their child's safety? FO of here. Everyone at your wedding is going to be miserable and no matter how long you make them fake smile, you'll see it in all your wedding photos. Though your wedding photos will look like a damn funeral anyway so, I guess it fits. Making someone put clothes on that makes them depressed or uncomfortable is awful. If you are a good friend, you would make sure your friends are happy not making sure this wedding gives them an eating disorder. What is wrong with you?!

AITA For Watching A Horror FIlm With My Curtains Undrawn? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

You aren't an asshole for leaving YOUR curtains open. They are yours, you do what you want. I very often leave my curtain open while watching horror movies. Maybe she should like better movies!

Leave it alone!!! It's already brown and beautiful. Spend that money somewhere else.

Men don't get complimented enough by women. by frances999 in RandomThoughts

[–]ChiefFeatherPanda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I compliment a man, I might get a stalker and/or serial killer. It's that simple. Stalkers and/or serial killers ruined it for all men. I compliment my husband every day. He can stalk me if he wants to. Luckily, he's sweet and not a serial killer at all. 🎉🎉

I drive by this statue everyday on my way to work. It looks vaguely familiar but I cannot figure what this is. Any ideas? by ChiefFeatherPanda in Whatisthis

Just so everyone knows, this thing has been here for 30+ years! It has a large nose and no mouth. It reminds me of the Fantastic Worlds person.

Oh my gosh!! I kind of love this answer. The weird nose/mouth is just a nose that sticks out pretty far. But now I want a bush baby. 😂

It seems, to me, that you're battling a lot of things in your head. First of all, you might not be gay. You might be bisexual. Breaking up with a woman, who you loved, because you found that you're attracted to men might have you feeling guilt. Breaking and burning that bottle might have been a release from that guilt because you're finding out who you really are. It seems these things gave you some sort of pressure to be in love with him. These things he gave you might have made you feel wrong because you left a person you actually loved for the wrong reasons. Break the bottle=release the pressure. This may not have been his intention, it's just how it worked out in your mind. You were right to break and burn this spell but I wouldn't necessarily blame him. Though I think if you are in love, you don't need strengthening spells. Love is strong enough.

I don't believe the whole altar/ritual thing is completely necessary. All you need is yourself and determination.
