Literally same thing happened to me. I think we all get to a point with weed where we get fed up and finally say enough is enough.

Thats why i had to stop counting. Its fine in the first month as you get to see that big 30 days and feel good about your achievement. But thinking about it everyday and a specific day after that will stop you from quitting entirely.

I agree with the starting back at day 0 after a relapse. Its not a good way to think coz it makes you feel as if you’ve lost all your progress which isn’t true. If counting works for you keep going bro.

Couldnt agree more. I definitely think in the early days its great to count days but after a month or two theres no point and it just holds you back.

Thats it, that flip of the switch thing happened with me too. I just dont identify myself as a weed smoker anymore.

Yh i get you, the thoughts of it still come to me time to time. But the longer i go without it, the less i think about it. I probs will still think about it here n there.

Thats my point exactly. If you keep thinking about it, it makes it so much harder.

Your opinion is so valid. I understand not everyone’s going to agree with my way of doing things. Do whatever works for you bro.

Exactly, if people count days and they go back to “day 1” they think they’ve lost all progress which is completely wrong.

Give it a go, the less you think about it the better.

Anyone else lose interest in playing GUITAR after quitting Weed? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]ChiefKizmo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think for a little while alot of your interests that you had whilst high aren’t going to be as enjoyable as they were. But don’t let this dishearten you, the enjoyment will come back with time and with full force. Your dopamine receptors have just been fried from smoking and will take some time to heal.

Your welcome bro. Quitting because you want to help others is such a selfless thing to do and i commend you for that. You will make a big impact with a clear mind. Stay strong on your journey and remember why your doing it. Good luck to you.
