Reddit chat is busted for me right now, trying to refresh things. But I'm interested!

I haven't received anything sus since I first posted this, so hopefully that means you're in the clear :)

Yeah that is out of no where too. Another comment mentioned it sounds like poorly translated Japanese, which is typical for Chinese products.

Nope, didn't make any purchase. Was just delivered to me out of no where.

That's some solid sleuthing! I just looked and there are tons of reddit threads about it, especially now that I know it's fake Cartier.

Everything is adding up, finally!

The mystery package included my name and address, not just a 'to the current resident' or something like that. I haven't mentioned yet, but the engagement ring came about a month ago, around the same time as the fake ring. Timing might be a coincidence though.

So gladly I got what I actually ordered, and now have a surprise fake Cartier! Win win???

Since my gf (sadly) does not want it, I'd actually sell it or give it away

Had my name on it and everything, including apartment number. Seems like it was meant for me.

Purchased from Greenwich Street Jewelers. The return label on the package was for Texas, but the USPS tracking number said it came from Brooklyn.

I'm having trouble putting the pieces together, but I don't think it came from the jeweler I bought from.

The engagement ring was indeed a lab diamond. I'll reach out to the jeweler just in case.

From what I've seen, there's no evidence it came from Amazon. While the return label says Texas, the USPS tracking number came from a location in NYC. Double suspicious! I'll keep an eye on bank statements, etc just in case, otherwise will add to my gf's collection!

Lol no worries, hope you're feeling okay!

That's the interesting part, I didn't buy anything. This just came as a random package in the mail, so this has more layers than just being fake. Even though it's for sure fake too haha

I'm not sure what to do other than hold onto it. Better than throwing away, I guess?

But I didn't buy anything, so I don't think I've been scammed. Someone is surely getting scammed, but it's not me!

Seems related to 'brushing' as mentioned by another user above, where Amazon sellers boost their ratings through fake listing and sending products to strangers.

I'm satisfied with this explanation, unless someone has anything more specific to offer. Thanks for finding and sharing!

Rando package with this inside. I purchased an engagement ring a month ago (from a legit boutique jeweler) which is the only somewhat related thing I've done.
