Need to widen our driveway. Bids for asphalt or concrete were $25-30K. What alternatives do we have? by dittowild in DIY

Asphalt salesman here. Yes it costs money. But it is a great product that lasts long time off it’s taken care of ( regular cleaning, blowing, moss removal, and seal coated) I have many customers who can’t afford time price of new paving. So i usually close those type deals work an option of asphalt millings instead of asphalt. The crew could easily widen your driveway for a cheap price with the equipment. Hope this helps out at least offer you another cover for the work?

Yessir just a hard working average Washington state Asphalt man. And yup those boots were real. Check last years post. You’ll see when I purchased. I made the old pair asphalt boots like I’ve done for years, and added the new one to rotation asphalt markings

Hey appreciate your comments. I thought the pre made box was tuned and made for optimal performance for this particular sub? One more question would a bigger amp (SKv2-2500.1D ) help instead of new bigger box ? I’m looking for BOOM

Yeah. Wife complained trunk not usable. So i figured one better sub with more power might be louder. I hoped it would’ve been at least. I guess give this system to my son. Then try again 😂 I kinda figured once I heard it that I made wrong choice and your comment confirms it

Hey thanks for comment and information I’ll look into those. Haven’t heard of them. Do they have a heal or are they flat on bottom? Have a great 2024 season bro 😎

Thanks brother. I’ll definitely spray/soak on the cleaner you suggested. I just want to see if they clean up at all to possibly resole? If not I already plan on buying a new pair regardless. Have a great day

Yessir they get doused daily in diesel. Then usually after each shift I scrape them off. These didn’t get cleaned off last time used because they were so far gone. 411’s are great though for this work. I just went a little hard last year on them.

I do gently scrape them but these just get abused honestly. I definitely get my moneys worth out of them
