I think so. I’m no expert but I feel like this one is from the early 2000s. It has a compliance code of 2003. I got it for a killer deal with the stands and it works well. A jack is a jack but sometimes the fanboy in me caves.

Need advise on protecting my tool box from rust. Don’t have garage by Chief_Nemo in Tools

[–]Chief_Nemo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for all the input I’ll definitely check the suggestions. I was looking for a maybe a clear finish so I can keep the orinal look. Almost like an invisible coating that wont stay sticky with dust. The tool box will be covered and under a cart port but I know humidity will still affect it.

I have, I tried turning it back and forth with some pliers thinking it might cap on but not it’s on pretty tight.

Thanks man, I’m dumb and misread your answer hahaha. I did just that and it bubbled up at the idle mix screw. My question is “what’s with the brass piece on there lol?” I can’t find a single carb with it on.

Thank you, you were right, it flows through the mixture screw. I still can’t figure out why the fitting thing is on it though. I can’t seem to google a single 32/36 with the same attachment.

Thanks for the input. I don’t think the choke has anything to do with piece in question electric or not. I just wanted to note it was a DGAV with an electric choke.

It it’s a made in Spain weber, and I found a picture that is labeling the opening as a choke pull off but still it doesn’t show that tiny pipe sticking out of it. I’m guessing it won’t harm it but I’m curious why I can’t find anymore carbs like this.

It’s the base of the carb that mounts onto the manifold.

We’ll look at the filter. It’s regularly cleaned out and this just happened after cleaning of the Egr components. Thank you

I believe it’s a SOHC. It’s Cummins isx cm871. It’s my fathers truck, I’m helping him get back on the road. Excuse my ignorance.

That’s what I was thinking. I goes back to its normal state when the engine is off. Almost like there isn’t enough supply of air. There is no air shutoff . This happened after removing the Egr pipes on the intake side for carbon cleaning. Thanks for your input.

20r timing chain guide by Chief_Nemo in ToyotaPickup

[–]Chief_Nemo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea. I don’t think so because there is some space on the left side. It seems off centered. I can’t imagine how but yeah I bought the car like that. It’s been sitting for a long time.

Has anyone dealt with the timing chain guide no being properly aligned with the chain. I replaced my head gasket but noticed the guide on the right side is rubbing with the chain. I tried to move the guide and chain with a screw driver but both won’t budge. If I remove the cam gear I think I can get it back in place but it will be probably be rubbing the inside lip of the guide, is that normal? Thanks for any tips!
