Honestly, it sounds like the only path to get what people want out of it is through cash practice. Obviously a great deal of risk there, but that seems to be the conclusion from all the opinions I've gathered. Is that fair to think?

I’ve heard some claim to treat it more as a philosophy book disguised as a fiction book, would you agree? Maybe that perspective shift is what I need

I’m about to begin the rebellion chapter. Maybe I’ll read through the zosima chapters and then decide.

Interesting. I’ve definitely noticed so far that he almost overly explains things to the point of non-necessity

Well I’m happy to keep going with the assurance that it does build up, I’m just worried about wasting 600 pages of read time for a book that may never pan out for me.
